  1. That is exactly what I'm talking about. Even if its me or them I know it will haunt me for the rest of my life.
  2. What I hate is that those dang Sooner s are going to a different conference than Texas I hate that the rivalry's had to break up :'(
  3. That shad is awesome even if it didn't turn out the way you wanted . look great
  4. So I poured my first baits last night. They turned out pretty well though it's clear I've got to get some more practice. I want my baits to have a coffee scent so I was wondering if I can add a small amount of liquid coffee to the plastic? I add coffee grounds last night but the bait still has that melted plastic smell.I'm hoping that some actual coffee will eliminate that. So when should I add it, how much should I add, and will it hurt the bait if I add it? Capt.O
  5. Some one claims superiority over the Senko!!!!!!! Why do I have a feeling this thread is going in the direction of the Rage Tail baits epic fail and the Vendetta vs. Cumulus threads lol But as for the Senko and the Cane stick. I've not caught a fish on ether of them, that being said, a Grande bass Rattlesnake is killer in my neck of the woods. I think that the senko is the " One size fits all" of stickbaits. But certain stickbaits seem to work better in certain regions and you have to find the bait that fits you.
  6. Zoom Ultravibe craw is my go to bait. But if you are going to buy both I'd suggest the zoom for a reaction type bait and the Chigger craw for when you need more finesse
  7. The BPS PQ is on sale for $79.95 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_102287_100001001_100000000_100001000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_HOMEPAGE
  8. That's funny but true ;D
  9. One problem guys, the reviews where done by different guys. Cal did the Cumulus JIP did the vendetta
  10. That's just it there never was an argument. ;D I was only reporting what I saw on TT.com I hope not, I mean I know that there has been some fighting. : But over all I found this thread very educational and entertaining. I'd hate to have it end on a bad note :'(
  11. WOW!!!! This is almost better than Newanglers post about not having luck with RT baits. ;D When I stared this thread I really was only doing it because I thought it kinda funny that the vendetta had matched a higher end rod in a review. I'm just not so sure if I'm happy being the guy who fired the first shot in this war.
  12. Final someone with some sense. Newangler we have found your problem you have yet to meet a situation that calls for RT baits
  13. Do we really want to start that war on another thread : Falcon Bucoo 7' M is my soft plastics rod and it works great for plastics and crankbaits
  14. You know it's funny but I've yet to hear someone say that they Love there Cumulus. I heard plenty from the Vendetta guys about how much they like it but nothing from those guys who own the Cumulus.
  15. I love Pink trick worms. Fish them T-rig weightless on the top of the water with a jerk-pause retrieve. I've caught some big ones doing that
  16. We know that they consider price point. But for their lab test they test it against a base line rod and the MBR783C GLX2000 retails for around $325 TT.comSo as you can see at least in the lab the Vendetta was tested at a $300 price point.
  17. What I find that is funny is that what started out as Vendetta vs. Cumulus has turned in to Vendetta vs. Steez,GLX, and Cumulus Also I don't know why guys with the expensive stuff have attacked this thread like this. Might just be me but it seems they are trying to defend spending so much on rods when they know they could have got the same product for hundreds cheaper
  18. I personal think that super lines have really changed the rod market. When mono was the main line I think there was a major difference between high dollar rods and those in the mid-price rang.
  19. You must not fish a GLX because those are also very very heavy
  20. Can't make them legal, And it sure ain't helping keeping them illegal. We created this monster. Europe doesn't have half the alchol problems we have, yet they drink more than we do. Why? Its because there is no better marketing for vice, then when you make it illegal. If you legalize it now the problem will fix itself....in like a hundred years when no one remembers when it was illegal. The problem with alcohol is that they never made it completely legal with the 21 drinking age. So it still is a type of a forbidden fruit and we still see the effects of it today. I just hope they come up with a solution because it getting dangerous in my neck of the woods. Just last week they found a pot farm valued at $6 million next to lake Ray Roberts. And you don't fish the bank of Red River between TX and OK unless you have a gun.
  21. I hate both, But I hate more players on the Celtics than Lakers sooo..... Lakers
  22. Ok I have a hard time believing that 2 oz make's such a big difference in a fishing rod. And for that matter did you realize that the Vendetta VTC69-6 weighs only .3 oz more than G.Loomis MBR783C GLX. Price does play a part in the reviews but all rods are tested against a base rod which is usely a G.Loomis GLX Like I said I'm not saying that the Vendetta can out fish a Steez, GLX, or Cumulus. I just found it impressive that a $79 rod got Higher reviews than a $300 rod Capt.O
  23. I agree but is it $300 better? Seriously if I'm spending that much on a rod I'd expect it to beat a rod like the Vendetta no matter who's doing the review. I mean they shouldn't even be in the same ball park. Not saying that those guys at Tackle Tour have the finale word on it but they do test a lot of tackle and they seem to have very high standards consider that they compare most rods to G.Loomis GLX
  24. At least that is what tackletour.com said. the Vendetta scored a 8.33 while the Cumulus scored an 8.00. Of course its only .33, and the main reason is because it got a much higher score for costing so much less. At the same time the vendetta score only half a point below the Cumulus in performance and application. I'm not saying that the vendetta would win in a head to head test. But when you consider that you can buy about four vendettas for one Cumulus. It makes it even more amazing that the vendetta can even compete. Capt.O
  25. I'm shocked how long this thing a gone on I mean six pages! I bet we couldn't get that if someone said they couldn't catch fish on a senko. Here is what I've gotten out of it. 1. A lot of BassResource.com members fish RT baits and love them for the way they catch fish. 2. Big-O is a first class guy who is willing to help anyone catch fish, I think we should be thankful that he is a member here 3. Some guys just can't seem to catch fish on RT will others hate the amount of love they get here. So what does all this information do for me. NOTHING!!!!!(Other than I'll start to pay more attention when Big-O post something) Then consider me an independent.
