  1. Some more pics and info would be good on their site.
  2. For the $$$ which of these would be a better buy? And why?
  3. I use G-Blanks and Highly recommend them, the IM7 blanks are in your range. I just ordered a 6'10" M XF for light grubs, DS etc. I do have a 6'6" MH I use for jigs and worms.
  4. Anyone have anyone to order from besides Cabelas (nothing wrong with Cabelas) any sponsors carry it? No one locally carries it.
  5. In my Jeep Cherokee I run a thin braided rope thru the rear seat seat belt hooks on roof and clothes hangers behind front seat. Then I make loops out of cable ties threaded thru the braid , keeps the rods from sliding sideways and hitting each other.
  6. I thought the only paint that would stick on a Jon boat was RealTree Camo ;D
  7. How about this one? http://charleston.craigslist.org/boa/1117363304.html May be willing to deal.
  8. Got a new G-Blanks spinning rod on the way, going to match with a president, is the main difference the aluminum body on the XT (Maroon)?
  9. I fish jigs 90% from shore, I can crawl em, hop em and swim em. Easy to keep a pocket full and differnt trailers for the situations. I do make my own now as RW suggested you will lose a few and i just love fishing jigs. Now depending on where you live be careful with the wading and belly boats. Here in the low country of SC we have large gators and snakes.
  10. I have actually broken mine on a hook set (more of a wrist snap) this week on about a 1.5 lb bass. Rod broke about on the 3rd guide down right at the end of the wrap , clean like it was cut. Had another one on sale on the flea market and took it off for that reason. My experiment is over with the AMP.
  11. You can flip or pitch with anything, check out this little bit of history: http://www.backcountrynotes.com/backcountry-fishing/2008/11/16/cane-poles-fly-rods-part-3.html

I just got Gmans wide gap heads and put on my own skirts,I highly recommend him.
  13. Thanks I may have to make the drive and check it out.
  14. I run mine bow to stern that way i can position anyway i want and also use a quick release knot on the line attached to the cariberner so i can release quickly if needed and keep a small float on the line to go back and get it.
  15. Here you go http://www.captdick.net/ANCHOR-TROLLEYS_ANCHORS.htm http://kayakfishingmachine.com/rigging-basic-kayak-anchor-trolley/

Thanks , looking forward to receiving my jig heads.
  18. I am looking at an Old Town Canoe http://www.oldtowncanoe.com/canoes/generalFamily/rockport.html for me and my son to take fishing in ponds, small lakes and what not not. Our weight with gear will be close to 375 total. He is 7 and has kayaked on some rentals before and we rent a 12 jon boat at some state parks. Looking at the canoe to be able to put it on roof racks and do some weekend camping and fishing trips (camping gear will not be in canoe). Looking for stability over speed. Anyone use this canoe or have any other suggestions. I have kayak fished for many years along the coast but looking at a canoe so we can be in the same boat.

Decided to jump on the band wagon and start making my own jigs. Know where to get the skirts but how about jig heads? Looking for painted as I ease into this. Looking for some line tie flush to the head like these http://www.***.com/descpageDJIGS-DBPJ.html or Revenge jigs. Any suggestions. Also looking for swim jig heads.
  22. Revo S's are all that I use any more from everything from 1/8 to 1 oz on various rods. I never could get comfy with the Mag Brakes setups, too much fine tuning. I think they are great reels and especially for $80-100. Tried a Citica 200 E but just had that little shimano play in it and actually was a tad bit small for my hand comfort wise. Of course only my opnion.

I like the regular better, but if I need a smaller presentation I will cut the strands that stick out past the head on a finesse jig off, they pick up every piece of muck on the bottom at least for me. I really like doing this on the evolution jigs(because I ordered the finesse by mistake)
  24. Just soaked it good last night ready to respool today.
