I fished it years ago, the water level was way down when I did, dont know where the level is at today. I fished the dam area, there were a lot of laydowns that had bass in them. I fished a soft plastic jerkbait and a rattle trap and did really good. You may need to rent a boat from outdoor rec if you really want to fish this lake in a boat.

I havent been to Barnett in a few weeks, been mainly fishing the lake on base. Im thinking about going up to Greers here in the near future, also thinking about going to fish the Little Red near Searcy. Hoping the cooler water will have the smallies going. Im still trying to get some intel on there though.

I am thinking about fishing the Little Red River near Searcy for smallmouth. Has anyone else fished this river with any luck? If so I would like to know what kind of regulations there are on it, and any other information that you are willing to share.

Is anyone going to fish the Big Bass Bonaza on the AR river? Im also curious about others experience fishing this event? Im thinking about fishing this, I just moved here so Im curious how it all works.

I have been fishing the base lake from shore and caught a few, I am going to take my boat out on it very soon. I watched 2 guys put their boat on a stump out there on Barnett, I was surprised he didnt flip the jon boat the way they were trying to get off of it was pretty crazy. I may hit Barnett during the week if I get the chance

When I went TDY there for 7 level school, I would fish Buffalo creek a lot it is less than 10 mi from Sheppard. I caught a lot of fish there. Also there is Lake Diversion was good when I fished it. Also there is a small pond in the park next to lake wichita that has a good bass population in it. I fished all of these from the shore, and did fairly well.

I have fished Barnett a couple of times but only caught a bluegill. Still trying to learn the lake

Fish cover/shadows. Use natural colors. Fish shallow early deep later.

The wife and I took a boater safety class and the warden told us about those auto inflators, even though they are expensive, how much is your life worth. I got one after that class because of how they work and the wifes worry that I might fall out of the boat. I wear it all the time on the water, dont even realize it is there. I also keep another PFD on board.

Thanks for the support. The offer I made was 149500, appraised at 138000. According to my realtor's broker this is the third house in recent days that was listed above appraised value. I dont have a lot to put down, thats why Im going with VA. Its cool though Ive started looking again, but I am running out of time, I move in 30 days, with or without a house.

I have been working on buying a house near the Little Rock area since I am being transferred there. Yesterday the appraiser appraised the house 12K less than the asking price, since VA loans will only cover the appraised amount, we put in an addendum to change the offer at appraised amount. Well the home owners declined the offered, so I am out a months worth of time and about $1000. Back to square one. Honestly I think the home owner is crazy to think he will get asking price since it appraised so low especially in the current market.

I was there last week taking care of the house Im going to buy. I went to Gander Mtn, it wasnt too bad. Ill check those other places out when I get back there.

Different strokes for different folks

I will be moving to the Little Rock area, Beebe to more specific. I am wondering if anyone else lives in that area where they go to get fishing tackle, lures, equipment, etc. ? I have a fishing boat, being in New Mexico I didnt get the use out of it I would like. I am really looking forward to moving there and being able to go 10 miles and be at a lake I can put my boat in. Also I saw in Bass Pro Shops catalog there is a store being built in Little Rock, does anyone know anything about this? Any other information that anyone is willing to share about places to fish,etc. is also greatly appreciated. Thanks

We were fishing a pay lake for catfish, my brother caught a stringer with three nice size cats on it, the guy across the lake had lost it, all he wanted back was the stringer, he let my brother keep the fish.

I had some thing very similar to the pelican, depending on the size you get will depend whether it will fit on top of a car, I had a pickup and it fit into it perfectly. As for a motor, i had an electric trolling motor on mine and it worked great. If that is a problem you can use an oar.

I caught a hole combo once, kept the rod and chucked the reel.

I wouldnt think there isnt a max depth, it all depends how patient you can be. I have fished a weightless worm over 10 ft deep.
