I like to find bends with some sort of cover on it. Then fish deeper until I find the fish

What kind of ponds are these, community, farm? The amount of pressure these ponds get will also determine how you should go after them.

I have both, the bottomline is good for depth and temp, sometimes it shows the bottom ok, but the cuda is a little better.

I have some of those too, but rubber bands are cheaper.
