dock etiquette
Reminds me of the story of two guys fishing down a row of docks when a lady walked out on one with her dog. As they moved down the row, they heard a splash and the lady began screaming - wondering what happened, they turned around and asked the lady what was wrong. She said, "My dog jumped in the water and big fish just came up and ate him!!!" After a quick beat, one of the fishermen asked, "What color was your dog?".

Seaguar Tatsu
No problem I remembered RW's posts about it and just did a search for "tatsu" in this section of the forums. Sometimes you need to set the search parameters longer than just the default. I usually just set it for the three month time frame. Okay, I guess that was the problem. Anyway, it looks like those that spring for the high $ price seem to think it is a good product. I notice some reference to using it for jigs, that would not have been my first thought - are there some applicatons that it works better for than others?

BPS Customer Service = A+!
I suppose the results differ from location to location, but I have been very disappointed in the customer service at Cabela's here in the Omaha area. Twice I have been out and out lied to by sales staff - once I was told an item was out of stock but would be comming in on the next truck only to later find out that they don't even carry that item. The second time, I was told that Berkly had stopped making Power Worms and would only be producing GULP! from now on - I knew this was a lie and confronted the person - but he layed it off on his manager, who wasn't there at the time. I drive by Cabela's every day, but only stop there when I absolutely have to.

Has anybody tried this stuff? Can it really be worth what they are charging? Interested in your thoughts.

Food for thought on texas rigged plastics
To test it out for yourself - rig your favorite worm (or other plastic) both ways - dangle the bait and grab it from below like you were a bass - now pinch it to see how much pressure is needed to get the hook exposed and ready to be set.

Mixing Plastics For Color
I keep a large sandwich bag in the dry box on the front deck of my boat - after an outing, I gather up all the plastics laying around and put them in there and then grab that when I go bank fishing. Sometimes the colors run together and make some real funky lures. But they still work and will occasionally catch me a biggun.

Zoom Baby Brush Hogs ?
A great C-rig lure

Club braketing
Hey guys, does anyone know of a braketig software to use for a small club? Our club does this double elimination braket thing that has gotten so convoluted that guys who haven't been in the club for several years still get plugged in to keep it "even". Thanks.

Lottery Numbers

How effective are texas rigged senkos?
Wow, you must like to live dangerously - Senko posts usually bring down the wrath of the Moderators (LOL). Actually, I have tried fishing 'em with weights (T-rigged) but haven't had much success. I think the subtle action of fishing 'em either unweighted or with very small weights is what attracts the fish. If you are trying to fish deep and need the weight to get it down, there are other lures that may be a better option (JMHO).

MS 13
There are gangs and then there are "wannabes" - most times the "wannabes" are more dangerous because they have no control whatsoever. A lot of gangs are actually organized crime groups that more often than not happen to be made up mostly of minorities, but not always. They are everywhere.

What weight shaky head
I don't do SH a lot, but when I do I tend to go with 1/4 oz as a universal - I can't see there being that much difference in a 1/16 or 1/7 oz either way.

bass movement
It's my understanding that the bass do move shallow as the water starts to cool in the fall regardless of the forage. Why "shad migration" is talked about so much is the they tend to school up which makes it easier to see them moving.

Cold Fronts in the fall?
A Chatterbait also works well in the fall when searching an area.

Finesse bait
For some time now, I have been thinking about this and finally looked it up. Finesse is listed in the dictionary as a noun (delicate skill) or (cunning, strategem, trick). But we in fishing refer to it as an adjective as in "finesse bait". Based on the definition, any bait can be a "finesse bait' if we use it with "delicate skill" and we are "cunning...". Having said that, my favorite is the same year round - a ZOOM ultravibe speedworm - I may vary the colors depending on the water and may even add a little dye to the tail in some situations but I fish 'em as long as the water is soft.

where to use a buzzbait
Welcome to the wonderful world of buzzbait fishing - once you hook a big ol hawg, you will never go back! One thing missing from the advice above though (unless I just missed it) use a trailer hook - somebody mentioned short strikes, this can help turn 'em into braggin stories.

Chiefs vs Chargers
After so many years of watching KC pull defeat from the jaws of victory - I'm glad they are playing "not to lose". Wonder, can they keep this up?

manns 10 inch hard nose snake
Haven't used the snake but I did try a few other Hardnosed lures - overall they are just as good as most soft plastics, but I did have a couple of problems with them: 1) on cold days it was hard to get the hook through the hard nose 2) a couple of times the hard nose broke off while re-setting the lure on the hook after sliding down Give 'em a try, who knows, they may become your new confidence bait

Changing Weather
Wow, your question has been hanging out here for a while now - don't know that I can answer it completely, but at least you will know that somebody out there saw it. Water is thicker than air, I know you know this, but that makes things like temperature changes slower. But there are some other elements that can impact your question. Several weeks ago, after a long hot spell in the mid-west, a friend and I hit the water at sun up to find that the water temps were 65* where they had been 85* the week before. Wow, what a drop. But then we considered that it had been raining quite a bit and the nighttime temps were falling pretty drastically. However, as the day went on (blue bird skies, not a cloud in sight and virtually no wind) the water temps popped back up to near 80* after only about 6 hours. There are probably people on this site that can give you more scientific answers to your question. but in general I would say that it has a lot to do with what is going on with the weather overall. Sun, clounds, wind, rain (or even snow) can all affect the time it takes the water temps to change. Hope this gives you at least something to think about.

Jigs
Jigs are just another presentation - they can work well in grassy lakes, but you will have problems with the jig getting covered with grass - this can also happen with soft plastics. Depending on what you mean by "a lot of vegitation" the size of your jig can make a difference - too small will get hung up a lot if the grass is really thick. But a 3/8 oz is a good all around jig size for most applications. You might want to stay away from football heads - arky style or "swimming" jigs can be a good alternative. Can't understand why that guy was trying to put you off jigs unless he fishes there a lot and wants to hold down the competition :

Carolina Rig Question(s)
Wow! All that discussion and nobody answered the original question The bite is usually a tug if the fish is smaller and will feel like a dog shaking a sock if it is bigger.

Has this ever happened to you?
You ain't just whistling Dixie - well, maybe you are

Just Sad
as a bass fishermen, i say keep the crappies.... The problem is that crappies are a part of the food chain for bass in this lake and in others as well.
