  6. lol.. Been there, done that! I use an ultrafine sharpie.. Just hit it with createx clear before you clearcoat and that problem will go away. The only thing that hasn't effected my signature is spraying DN. Epoxy, dipping DN almost always smear's the sig. if not cleared.

  10. For you new guy's maybe you can learn from my mistakes... If your heat setting a bait don't heat it too much, give it time to cool down! I turned this LC 2.5 into a LC FAT 2.5! lol. It started swelling in front of my eyes. It was very uniform on both side's so I guess I'll have to try it and see how it runs! Who know might be the next best thing... Here's some pic's of my distorted Lucky Craft....

I use a 30gal compressor and leave it set on 90psi. I have an inline pressure valve which I keep on 40psi. Then at my gun I use a MAC valve which I can go from about 0-40 with. This way your compressor wont turn on and off every minute. Im with idlov on the gravity fed. I use a Iwata hp-b. Iwata is really the way to go for detail! The b has a smaller cup which allow's you to waste less paint. If your using epoxy you can read post all day and everyone has a different tech. I found the easiest is to just mix the heck out of it and dont worry about bubbles. Heat the bait just a little with a blowdryer. Apply the epoxy (heating the bait a little first will pop the bubble's and allow the epoxy to go on smooth. If you have any residule bubble's just hit it with the blowdryer for a sec. and they will pop. Something to turn the bait is a must. I use an old microwave turntable motor for mine. (old microwave's a dime a dozen).

  18. Well im in Ocala which is about 1:45min north of you. Here's a google earth map for you... Orlando's in the bottom right corner, lake weir is in the upper left...
  19. Very nice indeed..!
  20. Caught me another toad last night on Lake Weir. . (central Florida) I was using a elgrandelures bluegill pepperstick. She hit like a dink and even felt like a dink all the way to the boat. When she got to the boat she really turned it on. Under the boat around the motor. My partner is about half blind at night and couldn't find the net so I had to horse her in the boat. This was one heck of a test for my deep south fishing rod (very impressed). She was 8-14....
  21. 'MAGIC CLEAR PAINT'.lol... No, you just need an unpainted blank...!
  22. It's a LC this customer found on a stump...!
  23. Couple new one's I whipped up.. What do you think of the translucent gill???
  24. I noticed the same thing with etex. I mixed and transferred to another cup and mixed again and it still felt like if I tried I could peel it off.
  25. If you dont lay it on thick enough (multiple spray coats) it will peel after a few jack's have their way with it. Dipping it goes on thicker and I have a few traps in my box that I did not use for maybe a month after dipping and their just about indestructable. This thread is starting to remind me of my day's on Tackleunderground!! lol.. Do you agree BIGM...lol.. The cleacoat files...! Fish really dont care too much about how clear the bait is and if they tear it to heck it just mean's your paintjob rocks...!!! Tightlines fellow baitmonkeys...lol
