Their from predatorbassbaits. Their a lucky craft lc2.5 knockoff. Thing I like about them is they have a screwout front hook hanger so you can add ballbearings or remove them.

Flex coat
you probably need a non-reactive coat of something before coating with flex coat. I'd try createx clear. I usually coat one time with it before spraying with Dick nites just incase it want's to try and give me a headache.

Split Cork handle rods
I had a carrot stix for 6 month's and loved it. The only drawback for me was my pinky rested on the blank while casting or flipping so at the end of the day my finger killed me, especially when setting the hook. After a while I started getting a blister in that same spot. So as for me I love the splitgrip for slow worm fishing or finesse fishing but for anything else I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe I just have big hands.

HOW WOULD YOU FISH THIS. PICS!!!!
Try a buzzbait early in the morning or in the evening! We have lake's like that around here also and those fish are real picky! A buzzbait should get them riled up enough to hit. If not maybe a devil's horse.

Cold front fishing
Same thing here! Im fishing a Lake Rousseau tournament on Sat. and just saw it's supposed to be 28 that day. Nice all week then freezing on the weekend. All I can tell you is slow down. I will usually throw a rat-l-trap for a little while in the morning then if there's no taker's I'll try a big worm on a carolina rig next to laydown's and channels. That usually work's for me. If all else fails just start flippin'....

Hello from Florida!
Figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Barry and I live in Ocala, FL. I fish alot of club tournaments, and as soon as the kid's and the wife leave home I'll get in the bigger one's!! lol. Anyway I've been custom painting lures for some time now just to get my fishing fix when I'm stuck at home. I recently became a prostaff for elgrandelures, which I cant wait to get in stores here in FL. I love responding to post and will give advise to anyone who want's it. So if your looking for a good spot in central FL to catch some hog's shoot me an PM....

How much potential?
We have little forest ponds here in the Ocala National Forest (FL) that I love to fish. They are full of little 1-2lber's. Years ago we used to wade around them and I can testify that there are some hog's in those little lakes. I can remember wading and casting a buzzbait. Just walking about knee deep and while I was trying to get in a good position to cast to some lilly's I looked down and I was standing on the edge of a bed with a fish that was at least 8lbs and she was lookin' at my toes. lol. Tried for an hour to catch her finally she got tired of me. Since then I've caught alot of 4-5 out of those little ponds. There about the size of your's but mabye 6-7ft deep.. ;D

Meanmouth Bass
Here ya go!!!......... It must have been 20 years ago when we first read of a "meanmouth" bass. Now we read in Outdoor Life that Curt Walker of St. Charles, Mo., last fall caught a 4.75-pound meanmouth at Table Rock Lake. The fish was a state record, although we suspect there have been relatively few entries in that category in the Missouri record book. Meanmouth is the nickname of a hybrid black bass, a cross between a smallmouth bass and a spotted (Kentucky) bass. Given the fighting abilities of both branches of the hybrid's family tree, the nickname fits. Whether the cross occurred in the wild or was engineered in a laboratory is unclear. we've learned the risks of placing total trust in an aging memory bank, but we believe the first meanmouth we heard of were crossed in a laboratory. Researchers in that case labeled the fish as meanmouths and for very good reasons. By our recollection, they were stocked into a holding pond for observation. The researchers said that anyone wading in the pond would feel the fish nipping their legs, thus the nickname "meanmouth." Those original meanmouths at least we think they were original were isolated because their potential impact on other species was unclear. That their kind now are found in public waters was news to us. But if they inherit the best characteristics of their split ancestry, they represent exciting prospects. Both smallmouth and spotted bass, arguably, are better fighters when hooked than the more widespread largemouth bass. Both grow at slower rates than largemouth and never reach the maximum size of largemouth. Both are capable of topping 10 pounds, however, and are street brawlers when hooked. Some fish species, most notable being those in the sunfish family, crossbreed in the wild. And hybrids, whether bred in the wild or in the laboratory, are known and respected by sport fishermen. They include the saueye, a cross between the sauger and the walleye; the tiger muskie, a cross between the muskie and the northern pike, and the hybrid striper, a mix of the striped bass and the white bass. And then, of course, there is the meanmouth. Kentucky

How do you remove paint off of store bought baits?
That's what I do! Just scuff them up a little and wipe clean with denatured alcohol. Works great!
-
lake crescent?
I was over that way 2 weekend's ago. Water is very dirty and bass over 14in were non-existent!!! Crappie guy's were filling livewell's though. We also went to Salt Spring's run and did find a few nice bass on bed not far from the ramp...

Custom Painting is great but . . . . . . . .
Yep, alot of those guy's run their baits up on ebay! And like you guy's mentioned that high bidder could just send him one and get it painted for a 10th of the price... CRAZY! I sell to alot of collector's and they will pay pretty good for a nice looking bait. There's a pile of collector's out their. As for the custom thing, I use mine all the time and sometime's their the ticket and sometime's their not! Just a confidence thing. If you know the fish are tearing up the bluegill's at a certain lake, do you want a plain bait with orange on the belly and a spot of blue, or do you want something that totally imitate's them. You guy's ever use any custom plastic's?
