  1. Excellent Dick!!! Thank's for the response....I'll get my order in shortly...
  2. do you know if Dick got his supply of lure coat back up? last i heard his supplier stopped making it and he had no more stock. X2.. He's was supposed to give me a called when he found another but haven't heard anything yet and it's still not available on his site...
  3. I've used devcon 2ton for mine and seem's to work fine. I'm not a big jig user so they haven't been wet as much as some other's.
  4. Not bad at all for your first attempt! Here's a little tip that might work. Try making a stencil for your craw's. I use one (business card with a big 'C' cut on one side of it) with my airbrush but I can't see why it wouldn't work with brushes. Just hold it where you want it and kinda trace with your brush.
  5. Still got some tweeking to do on the skirt (which I'm leaving up to the expert) but they look killer...
  6. Talk about kicking it up a notch! Excellent job on that foil marty.. You'll have to give me some pointer's sometime...
  7. They are R shape. No I'm not selling them. These were sent to me from a friend. He might eventually sell them but for now just experimenting...
  8. Still have to clearcoat them but how do you think they came out? I was going for a bluegill. Picture's are kinda crappy.. I'll post good one's after their clearcoated...
  9. Airbrush, stencil's and a little hand brushing.
  10. Showoff!!!!...! ;D... Great job...
  11. It's called a confused craw. It's part Craw / part bluegill. Took the best of both and combined them! You get tired of painting the same old thing and It's nice to mix it up a bit.
  12. Playin' around with some new pattern's.. First I call 'The Bayou Beast'. I let my buddy that asked me to paint it to name it... The other is a Confused craw with a crackle back... What do you think...
  13. They look good man! If I was drawing crank's when I was your age I would probably be alot better at painting them!!!
  14. Killer bro!! Very sharp lookin' baits...

That it! When I first stared I used a 4ft dowel with hole drilled in it. then I put alligator clips in each hole. I clipped the baits on the clips then the bait's rotated end over end. Worked ok, but the new one is much better...

Here's mine... I actually posted this last night on another forum so I just copied it and posted it for you.. I cut 2 18in rounds out of mdf. (You could use whatever you have, ply, osb, etc) Then I put them together and drilled holes in the center and several more out from the center. Then ran a dowel through the center. This one you want to leave long on both ends. The other hole's I drilled are for stiffening it up. I just ran dowel's in those holes and epoxied them in place. Then I made a frame out of 1x4's. Make sure it's wide enough to accommodate the turner. I drilled hole's at the top's of the vertical 1x4 to place bearing's in. Make sure the the dowel will fit inside the bearing's tight! Once you have your center dowel in the bearing's. Time to figure out how to mount the motor. I used a Microwave carousel motor. I had to get it away from the side so I had room for the coupling. I used 2 4in wood screw's for this. ( I'm sure there's better way's to do all of this but this has worked for me for some time now). luckily the motor had a coupling on it that fit perfectly on the shaft of the motor. The other end I had to drill out to accommodate the dowel. Then drilled a whole in the side for a set screw. After you get this far it's time for the screw hooks. I picked them up for like a buck at wal mart. I put one about ever 4 in around the circumference of the circles. Both sides. Then one side gets a rubberband and a wire hook, the other just gets a length of stiff wire bent so it will fit in the hook eye's of the baits. The rubberband is a great idea! It allows you to put different size bait's on it without changing your set up... I'm sure I left something out so if you have any question's just let me know... I got all the part's (except the motor) at Lowe's and walmart.
  17. ... How deep does that other one dive! I really like them all marty... Thank you very much...
  18. Folk art is that 1 dollar walmart paint! I like some of the pearl's. You have to thin the about 50/50 with water but they work fine. The createx I get from hobby lobby.
  19. Just createx and some folk art paints.. I do alot of mixing though. It's actually easy. Just put a few drop's in your gravity fed brush, then a few more of another color in. Pull needle back and hold your finger over the tip. Then push down on the trigger to backwash the paint, kinda mixes itself. Just turn pressure down a little or you'll have paint speck's all over you..lol
  20. Here's the mama cat copy BigM made me.. This joker is killer.. Cant wait to get it wet.. I painted it and another he made me up sunday.. Not sure what the pattern is on the mama cat. I was just playing around with some color. The other is a sexy shad, only with a lot more sexy in it...lol
  21. lol.. Seem's like the more secret's you give away the more other's bait's start looking like your's.. I dont mind though.. I only use Createx and some folkart paints...
  22. lol.. it's dryin'' ;D
  23. We want to know how it run's!! Might be onto the next best thing... ;D
  24. I had marty make me a copy of the old bagley mama cat and he did a wonderful job on it! In return I painted a few of his 'awesome' custom made bait's. I did a shellcracker and a bluegill. I put crackle on the back's of both just so he'd have some one of a kind baits.. Hope you like them marty....Thank's...
