  1. The majority of places that I fish, its almost impossible to sight fish... Either that, or I dont fully understand the concept. Its just that most of my waters are so murky / muddy, you cant see more than 2-3 feet under the water, not to mention 10 + ft beds...
  2. Zoom 10in in Red Shad or Solid Black...
  3. Nice fish dude... Hope I can start the year the same way bro.
  4. Thats funny right there, I dont care who you are...
  5. As far as GULP goes, I had a jar of the Red Worms... They seems to work reasonably well, not as good as I had expected, but man... They stink up a storm... Real bad.
  6. Really do appreciate all the responses guys. One other thing... My pedal seems a little stiff, should I just use WD-40 on the pedal and shaft to loosen it up a little?
  7. Not to highjack your post, but when you guysfish a C-Rig do you bury the point of the hook in the plastic like a T-Rig? Reason I ask is because the lake I usually fish is FILLED with dead trees and branches...
  8. Didnt even think to take the top off... just got this boat in the middle of the season last year and the trolling motor came with it. Appreciate the help... Will let you know how it turns out.
  9. So I have a trolling motor thats about 10 years old best i can tell... Problem is the "arrow" that points the direction the motor is facing just kind of spins freely. Doesnt move at all when i use the pedal... Anyone heard of this or know a quick fix?? 'Preciate it.
  10. Pulled up a deer skeleton on a medium size spinner...
  11. so whats the answer??
  12. Definitely the fight and the finish... Better than sex, almost.
  13. Appreciate all the responses so far... Especially about the saltwater license. I was under the impression that no license was needed for fishing off the piers. As far as rod and reel go, I was looking at this one from BPS... http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10208390_151003000_151000000_151003000_151-3-0#prodDescription Tell me what you think.
  14. So guys, me and the Ol' Lady are heading to Anna Maria Island in June for about a week and Id really like to do some pier fishing while im there... Heres the problem. I have lived in Kentucky for 27 years and have no idea what to do in salt water... Anyone have any tips as far as gear/bait/tackle goes? P.S. I know this probably should have gone in the "Other Species" category, but I really wanted some Florida locals to see it... Sorry
  15. I use the smallest ones to catch crappie in the summertime. Never had any luck with bass though. Was kinda surprised, because when i saw the action in the water, I honestly thought it would catch alot of fish...
  16. Snakes definitely suck. I had a copperhead grab onto a Zoom Baby Bass jerkbait in the dead of night a few years ago at Lake Cumberland when I was fishing for striper. Probably made a world record for running up the side of a mountain. I hate snakes.
  17. I do the same thing my friend. Something about a Glock 30, just intimidates the hell out of some people. I usually fish on a private lake that has alot of recreational boaters. On top of that, its only about 200 yards from bank to bank across, so there tends to be quite a bit of trouble.
  18. Welcome....Its a pretty nice joint. (the board)
  19. I used to fish alot of ponds and tended to stick to the BIG BAIT = BIG FISH theory. If theres any cover, try throwing a big jig towards it. Big Cranks usually work for me too. If its deep enough, try a Rapala DT-10. Has done me wonders on slow days.
  20. Not a huge one... 2-3 lbs Lexington, Kentucky
  21. I actually prefer cut up nightcrawlers on a crappie rig... http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=1776&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults
