  1. You realize that corn is illegal for fishing for small game fish. I use Gulp corn. Its legal and works great!!! Not in Kentucky... pretty sure that varies state by state... But for what its worth, I never had a whole lot of luck with corn...just me apparently.
  2. Shad-Rap DT-10, all the time...
  3. One more...a little bigger
  4. SO i broke down and went to the trusty farm pond last night. We went at the end of last summer, but were in the middle of a huge drought and hardly had a bite. Glad to say, last night was a bit more productive...
  5. Wild Turkey and Camel lights....Dont worry...I fish from a dock...
  6. Best thing for stripers is live shad, on a hook. We used to set up one of floating lights at night. After about 30 min, you could tye on a treble hook, snag one, and let it roll.
  7. I smoke close to a pack when im on the water, and dont have any problems. probly do better than my non smoking friends. I DO know that crappie love disco...Thats right, disco
  8. Well, there was this one chick... Oh, Fishing...nevermind
  9. Yeah...I was thinkin 2-2 1/2 myself. Considering those were the only two fish i caught in 2 days of fishing..Ill take it.
  10. Thanks all.....Anyone wanna take a guess at the weight of that first one...I tried to hang him on the scale, but he was mighty anxious to get back to the water....Any guesses?
  11. You have no idea...Hehe. In all honesty though, he felt ALOT bigger when he hit the crankbait.
  12. The one that almost got away...
  13. Well, the fishing was mighty slow this weekend, (mostly due to drought conditions at my usual lake) but i managed to come up with a couple..... NOTE...I actually meant to put this in the general forum, if one of you moderators could kindly move it for me it would be appreciated...SORRY!
  14. Dont have very many Bass pics, but heres some nice cat action...
  15. Lake is in Owenton, Kentucky. My pops has a house there. Actually have not been in a little over a month because the dam has a leak and the water is WAY down. I usually have a little over 5 feet over the side of my dock. Ill be lucky to have a foot by the time i go back there.
  16. Easy now, easy... Howdy from another lifelong KY boy...Where in KY??
  17. Was going to say the same thing. Am a big fan of the wildeye swimbaits. Catch decent size bass on even the small ones...
  18. for 5-8 feet of water with rocky cover, id stick with a shallow running crankbait. Have always had luck with the Shad-Rap from Rapala
  19. Couldnt have put it better myself. Most of my GOOD friends arent exactly the best of fisherman, and theres nothing i hate more than having to tie someone's knot for them, or showing them how to throw a certain rig. Think fishing alone is the one thing that keeps me sane. Of course i always have the good ol Turkey 101 with me.. (not a boat fisherman, in no way shape or form do i condone drinking and boating!
  20. Gotta agree with George here. Am curious to know what the bass FISHERmen in Utah think of the practice. Anyone....Anyone??
  21. Its a great lake. Small, Private community. Lots of Rec. boaters, but there is a good sized reservoir on the same property that only allows electric motors. Hav'nt fished it yet, but a lot of the oldtimers that live there say thats where the best fishing is. Just ordered a 12 ft inflatable raft with trolling motor so hopefully i'll post some nice pics for you guys in the near future.
  22. Nicky are you some kinda sicko with a comment like that. lol ;D Now that you metioned it, i probably could have come up with a better phrase there. I was gonna go with Sunday morning coming down, but then everyone would know how much of a functioning alcholic i am.
  23. I wish to God i knew what your saying, but my name is the only thing Greek about me. Born and raised a Kentucky boy...
