Best reel for flippin?
I'd go with the f500 with the big eyelet there is no friction when flippn & Pitchin, 28 lb drag, heavy duty brass gears, strong handle, narrow spool w/ a peg so your not wasting line or having to put backin on the spool. 3 year warranty and If Denny Brauer uses it flippin that's All you need to know

Favorite Stained Water Lures!
try lures that move a lot of water. like a 1/2 jig with a big trailer case plastic makes a good one. also a black neon tube. wiggle wart crankbait in black/chart or red craw. Big spinnerbaits with chart blades or gold blades big willow leaf baldes or indain blades mann's hank parker classic spinnerbait is a great stained water bait. its has a gold indiana blade and small colarado blade with a lite wire is has a lot of vibration.

B and R outlaw rods?
I have 6 of these rods and like them a lot. I know Robert personally and the rod blanks and rods are made in Arkansas. the line rating and lure rating are exactly what they say. I have a 7 heavy, 7'6'' med heavy, 7 glassrod, 6,6'' glassrod, 7 medheavy, and a 7'6'' heavy. The glassrod are some of the best on the market for throwing crankbaits. I was a buyer at a tackle store where we sold 100 plus of these rods a year they are big in the Midwest.

Laser Lure
I was at the classic and the talk around their was that laser lure paid them two alot of money for the classic in upwards of 100,000 dollars a piece so they would say that they were using the bait. I also talked to a dealer that said that for 15 dollars the bait does not even run true.

Line Conditioners
Line conditioners are great they take the memory out of your line and they help the line from being damaged by uv rays of the sun. also good on those cold day it help keep ice from forming on eyelets of your rods I like blakemore reel magic and Ardent line butter they both are great products

Hollow belly swimbaits
I like the Yum fat money minnow with a Lakefork 7/0 swimbait hook with a 3/16 oz. wieght on the hook. This bait has a large profile which looks more like a big shad or bluegill then the longer slender baits

Baitcast Reels
I use baitcasting reels for everything you have more control of your cast and of your line with baitcasting reel you just have to match your line size with the size bait you are trying to use. The spool tenision knob on the side of your reel is there for a reason and that is to control speed of the spool if you are not cast as far as you want to lossen the knob. It all comes down to practice with a baitcasting reel the more practice the better you will cast and the farther you will cast.

jig rod
I like a 7 ft med/heavy or heavy depending on the type of cover you plan on fishing. The med/heavy is great for dock fishing and the heavy is the only way to go when fishing heavy timber or grass. GL3 Gloomis or B&R outlaw rod. B&R outlaw rods are great and only cost 129.99
