  2. we got only salt water anglers here in southern cal.(and they call it bassmaster university)but we did get delta guide Randy Pringle again who i enjoyed last year

  4. i noticed how alot of people are now putting swimbaits on there spinnerbaits.what swimbaits do you recommend for this? thanks

  6. from cal. and they don't sell them here.but visited a friend on the coosa river and bought a couple and they easily caught more bass for me than any other spinner i used.i think the size was just right for the size of the shad.

  9. i'm visiting from out west and fishing on the coosa,just wondering how the fishing is going for people around these parts?i'm having a tough time and wondering if others are having the same problem? thanks for any replies
  10. the water is as clear as a swimming pool,the water temp. is around 65 to 70,the weather has cooled down from a week around 90 degrees now around 78 or so.stiff breeze in afternoon and calm in morning and evenings.what lures would you recommend in these conditions?thanks for any help,i'm completely stumped!

  15. nice of you to reply back to my p.m....not! try fishing in the morning early....poppers,frogs,buzzbaits you will def. lose less lures that way.
  16. you hit it right on the head.i fish puddingstone lake and i only topwater early in the morning,right when the light is just appearing.most city lakes are closed by the time the night bite begins.3pops,pause,3pops pause is my fav. retrieve .
  17. i have twice vacationed at my friends house on the coosa river in alabama and i learned that you fish the same lures as on a lake but you downsize your lures. spinners-pond magics and roostertails topwater-the small skitterpop from rapala worms-thin senkos(i really killed them) lipless cranks-1/4 ounce cordells keep it smaller.....good luck
  18. my buddy just moved back to upper w. viginia and asked if i could get some fishing info around eastern ohio.what lakes in the area of mosquito lake are good for lmb and smallies?what are some of the better lures to use this time of year? thanks for any replies.

  20. sucks here in cal. for me but i visited a friend in alabama back in late march and caught a ton of lmb and spots on the coosa river.everybody on my local lake are having a tough time so i don't feel too bad. time to move to the south! LOL!
  21. does anyone else find it alittle hypocritical when lots of bass pros say to practice catch and release esp. during the spawn,yet during the tourneys they seem to have no prob. bringing in bedded females to the weigh ins?the female will obliviously never get back to the bed.why can't they sch. the tourneys after about middle may? just thought i'd throw that out
  22. hula poppers make the the biggest bloop(sometimes,too big).but i like the skitter pop the best
  23. looked around some but can't seem to find any.anyone know of a brand that makes them or should i paint my own?
  24. late may thru june is my fav. time to bass fish.it's when i can start burning my traps and topwatering really gets going.what are your fav. lures this time of year? thanks for all replies
  25. all this talk of topwatering is bringing tears to my eyes.it is going to be in the 90's early next week here and will be topwatering for the first time this season that morning.got a couple cavatron buzzbaits while visiting a friend back in alabama and can't wait to use them!
