  1. Work pretty good on spotted bass
  2. because of current heard dropshotting not very effective in rivers...try in back creeks and embayments
  3. Well, KVD burns them on the surface alot...try diff. speeds and depths...i know when i was on Coosa they mainly hit slow rolling the bottom.
  4. What i love is the guys who post ''i never use that lure so i don't know'' So why did you answer this post!..LOL! Anyway, my fav. is rage tail lobsters by far followed by paca craws
  5. Nice fish...def. looks 5 lb. to me
  6. I keep it simple...clear or bone during day...black at nite
  7. Well here in cali the big girls stay low pickin off the injured baitfish the small ones hit...throw your lure well below the boils mimicing a injured baitfish

It takes alot more practice with Sammie than with Spook.i prefer Spook in more windy and deeper water but like Sammie in shallow and calmer water cause more subtle and seems to float on the surface...LOL!
  9. Pop n images have great designs but not best performers...i like Zell Pops myself...here images good for walk'n as you pointed out
  10. Sorry late post...walk the dog is best on choppy and heavy ripple waters...in water depths 5 to 25 ft. not a great very shallow bait makes alot of commotion. What i love most about it is it works all day for a topwater bait even in bright sunny days
  11. I like the popn image but both sizes might be too big for your pond...a smaller pop'r or small rapala skitter pop are more subtle
  12. Are they hitting baitfish at the surface? Are you fishing lowlite conditions morning or evenings or cloudy days? try diff.topwater lures...walk the dog, frogs and buzzbaits are good in ponds..also try and match the hatch as much as possible....good luck
  13. Walk the dog lures in jr. size, small poppers, friend would kill them with homemade flies in shad colors..try casting slightly outside a boil if doing that
  14. When visited a friend on Coosa few years back needed a smaller profile spinnerbait...there 3/16 size and they were just what i needed for the spots...nailed a 6lb striper with it didn't bend...easily caught more bass on this spinner than any other i had...but as mentioned..they are cheap andi'm sure break alot sooner than brand named spinners

I use Yum for plastics that have lost scent just to keep using them...saves me alittle dough
  16. Not much for cranks..spros little j
  17. ''My advice to you is start walking the dog heavily''
  18. Berkley 6' black/blue power worm fished on nite catfish trip...got 3 bass and became Bass fisherman ever since
  19. I'm no sponsor and i go with the Rage Lobster 80% of the time..black and blue good choice
  20. Dawn goes good to worse into daytime dusk goes good to better at nite
  21. From what you described and if those 2 choices i'd go buzzbait...i rarely use poppers anymore unless water dead calm in more open water.
  22. Senko's are excellent to start with...i know frogs this time of year work good also...go to this site...he is a top guide on delta and is very helpful...good luck! thefishinginstructor.com p.s. leave alittle slack in your line and let fish take the senko...set the hook right before line fully tightens...senko's are loaded with salt and bass don't let go quickly so no need to set hook too fast
  23. use a loop knot also with frogs...helps
  24. Early summer for me means i can give my plastics a rest and breakout reaction and topwater lures. what are your fav. lure choices this time of year?
  25. If using smaller buzzb. but 3/8 oz not need one
