Pete Carroll to Seahawks???
I just always imagined that's where my fellow fat people go. BTW what's Holmgrem ever done with out Farve? I thought he took seattle to the superbowl?

What are you trying/restocking this year?
Beavers, soft jerkbaits, chigger craws, hard bluegill swimbait, and old school ribbon tails. Probably a few Fuzz E Grubs for those times when you HAVE to put some fish in the boat and they aren't biting.

Secondary point
Yep, that's what I said earlier, but this illustrates it. Secondary juts out from a primary point.

Ikes ganna be an abu guy!!
Just pointing out that, there's really no limits on what a person can market. Curious, how do Know all profits went to charity.? If you're not aware of Paul Newmans history of giving to charitable causes I suggest you look it up. Mr. Newman has a long history of selfless giving that goes beyond his salad dressing, popcorn or any of the other products that bore his name. And that is besides the fact that his salsa and salad dressing is GREAT! Newmans own Pineapple Salsa is the best ever!

Crawfish behavior, life cycle etc.
What info can be shared about the crawfish life cycle? This can information can be used to catch more smallies. I don't know much, about them and would like to learn more. One thing I heard at a seminar from a local tx fisherman.......He dropped an aqu view to 45 ft of water on a very clear lake loaded with smallmouth..... There was a crawfish on the bottom in that deep of water...

Secondary point
Maybe my definition is a result of a lake within 10 minutes of everyone, most less than 1,000 acres. Another point to consider ( ;D) A 'land' point can very often not be a point at all.

Your local tackle store
Selection is key here. That's what makes VanDam's shop so great. They don't waste shelf space on NFL team crankbaits, or hot pink jelly worms. The stuff they sell is the stuff people want, or that is hot on the Elite trail

World Record Bass Ruling Announced, it's a....
At that size they don't fight very hard anywhere, especially if it was a lake fish that didn't have to fight current that may have 'muscled' him up. Think fat guy sitting in a recliner eating twinkies vs. lean guy with muscle. Fat guy has the weight but who's going to give you a better fight ? Depends on the equipment too. You can musle in a 22lb Musky with zero problems with surprisingly not that heavy of equipment.

Daiwa Sol BC
Why haven't some of the reels that cast light lures (sol, pixy, even Pro Lite) come with a higher speed retrieve ratio? I'd love to have a 7.1 Sol or Pro Lite

As someone who has been in the boating industry for 10 years now, I feel fine telling you you are dead wrong about Nitro. I don't own, or have ever owned a Nitro. But I do know quality construction, fit and finish, and features and Nitro is as good a boat as anyone. Tracker group has the money to risk making decisions that has done nothing but help them further their business, and I assume they will continue to do so.

Pete Carroll to Seahawks???
I'm a college football fan, but as a disclaimer a Notre Dame fan too. But I'll still say this.... One thing about ND, they are by the book, and the kids stay clean. AND graduate. As a fan and not a student sure, winning means more. But that stuff still matters to me. I also have great respect for other schools who graduate at a high rate, ESPECIALLY those with a successful program. Stanford, Boston College, Northwestern. Are they the best schools? No. But they make bowl games and aren't terrible. This was a reason I liked IU basketball. Bob Knight might have been an ***, but those kids weren't pulled over with guns in their car, or passed out at stop lights, or gouging people in the eyes etc. And they graduated. Sad thing is basketball players have moved away from that respectability so far, that he just didn't fit in anymore.

If you are going to open your reel...
None by the drivers themselves but, more by the un-trained/practiced hands using them. I have a $7.00 set of tools that are satin finished and made from quality hardened steel, that are just as comfortable to use as the linked set. In the right hands IMO any budget priced tool can do the job's... Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!! Your saying it requires special training or learned skill to operate a screwdriver?

If you are going to open your reel...
Maybe so but to much $$$ for a hobbiest, IMO... Again I don't agree. I paid about $15 for my set from TI back in the 80's and I haven't stripped a screw head in 25 years working on reels. You don't need expensive tools like that when your occasionally braking into reels, heck I wouldn't recommend that expensive of a set even for a pro... Take your time and work right in the proper environment, and you won't have any problems.... Just the words of a pro! Tight Lines!!! Quality tools are an asset. In over 30 years of tool & die making, along with tinkering with everything I've encountered throughout my life, I have never regreted buying (and using) quality tools, but I have indeed regreted buying and using"cheap" tools. Value is not always measured by low cost. $26 is inexpensive when investing in a good set of miniature screwdrivers...you aught to see the Brownell's gunsmith screwdriver set I have! I wonder how many phillip's head screws have been buggered up with junk screwdrivers :-? The Brownells set is without a doubt the best EVER!!!!!! My father has a set from when I was just a tike, and those things are still killer. Every bit grips really tight, and lasts forever.

Ranger, Champion and Stratos boats sold
All of the above were owned by Genmar before. So someone huge already owned them. That was a good buy for someone....Those are the brands I would want to take also.

Pete Carroll to Seahawks???
This ticks me off if it's true. These coaches in the NCAA need to have sanctions placed upon THEM, if they leave a school that is penalized for infractions that occur while the coach is there. The Kentucky Basketball coach comes to mind. Calipari sticks around until the NCCA is all over the school then bails for another school. This Pete Carrol thing, if true is just another example. Being a Notre Dame fan I hate USC of course. The sucky thing is that one Carrol leaves and USC takes a sharp decline it will be because they lost Carrol......In reality it will be the to the letter recruiting they will have to do because of the microscope on them.

Your local tackle store
D&R Sports in Kalamazoo MI. Not the biggest place at all. But the stuff they carry is the stuff I want. John VanDam works regularly, as does Randy, they and most others on staff can answer any question and find anything. Plus since it's KVD's brothers shop, there is always the feedback on what is popular on tour. Great place!

This post is ALL FACT. It's much easier to verify the truthfullness of this fish vs one from 90 years ago or so.

Anyone review a Pflueger Patriarch XT Casting Reel
The old handle did look nice but I'll bet it seems like an obscure design to alot of guys. They were heavier than a conventional handle and I'll bet that is the driving factor in getting away from that design. By having a conventional bolt on handle if you should ever need to change the handle down the road, there will be tons of options, vs almost none. I still like those reels. I'd be happy with a regular patriarch but really want one of the new XT's

80 dollar spinning reel and 240 dollar rod?
I really like the Supreme too...It's probably not the absolute best spinning reel but I'd have a hard time finding better at $99. I might however get a president for my next Loomis rod for tubes. The rod won't be the lightest thing, and maybe the heavier reel will make it less tip heavy. To the OP, nothing wrong with that. The rod can help you catch more fish. The reel just needs to not break and not backlash (or twist line for spinning reels). A god rod, IMO can contribute directly to more landed fish.

Secondary point
I've always considered a secondary point a small point jutting from a larger more pronounced point. A spot on the spot if you will. Pick up a football and clean it up. To clarify these can be small enough as to not be on a map, but still there, and still hold plenty of fish.

Anyone know how to get the Abu Garcia REVO reel apart?
Two screws on the handle side plate on the OUTSIDE. Also the thumb screw. Rotate the palm plate up and remove it. Then remove the spool. Then there is a screw hidden behind the spool on the inside of the frame. Sounds like this is the screw holding you up.

What are your fishing Strengths?
My strength and a weakness all at once..... Using electronics, and boat positioning to best fish any specific area..... It's also a weekness. While I was very good at this, I also haven't fished my own boat in a couple years.....This year I hope I get right back into the swing of things. When it's still cold as heck out, I like to go out and cruise around, using my electronics, and maybe a jig.....Not really fishing, but to get back into the painting a picture in my head mode needed to truly see what the electronics are telling me.

Strike King Tour Grade Shakey Heads
I'm going to have to try them. I really like the Strike King finesse worm (trick worm) made from ElaZtech. Problem is they are so soft, they are impossible to screw onto a screwloc

Lure/Species Specific Rods
That's a pretty broad question. Which ones? And I wouldn't really consider many at all "rip offs". Whether or not you will be happy is another issue, but there is too much competition among rod builders right now to produce a far and away "rip off"
