  2. I found a pond down the road from me that isnt on anyone's property.. I don't think.. but is there a way to find out if there is bass in there? With out fishing it, because the season for us up here is closed. There are a lot of minnows in the pond, couldn't tell what they were, they were to small.
  3. Has anyone fished a 6" tube? How? Where? I was givin a pack of them, they're called the Yum Doozee..
  4. When would you use a medium action rod? I got one from my step dad as a gift, baitcaster combo, but it seems to light to get a good hook set, haven't tried it yet though. Any thoughts?
  5. Chatter bait, had one for three years and still haven't caught anything on it.. I think I'm fishing it wrong because I watch pro's catch bass on em
  6. totally agree with you
  7. Where, and when, and how do you fish wake baits? I just picked up a few today that came in a used tackle package. I've never used them before but I think I will try them. Spook
  8. hey guys looking for an online bait shop that ships to canada. I can't find any other than Bass Pro, but I'm lookin for another one. Any thing?
  9. Fuzzy Beaver Tail.. works wonders around any structure
  10. Haha, I totally agree with the camera thing.
  11. 25+degrees celcius, little clouds, thick weeds, no wind. August. What's your favourite lure? Mine's gotta be a black lizard.
  12. Who would you thank for getting you into fishing? Personally, it would be my dad for me. I remember going out with him on his old bass boat when i was 4 years old. He was with me when I caught my first bass on a fire tiger rattle-trap. Every fish I've ever caught, I dedicate to my dad, for he is the reason I love this amazing sport.
  13. I'm going to try jerkbaits a little bit. But i'm going to also learn to be more patient.
  14. I have a big tackle box that i devoted the whole top part of to my plastics. I keep them in the original bags, they will be fine like that, just make sure the bags are completely closed, otherwise the plastics will go hard.
  15. For the submerged weeds I love to use a t-rigged salamander or 12 inch Wave Worm. I weight it heavy, so i can cast past the 'mats' then bring it over top, and the extra weight also allows the rig to dip in any little pockets that may be there, sometimes that triggers hits, if nothing happens while your rig is over top of the weeds, slowly edge the rig over the edge of the mat, a lot of the time a bass will follow it while it's on the surface, then hammer it when it falls off the edge.
  16. I like the scum frogs with the paddle tails, great action, and the hook up ratio seems to be good with them.
  17. my personal favourite, for large and smallmouth, is the old faithful Big-O by Cotton Cordell, in white or perch.
  18. For me, anything 6+ inches, I'll use a 4/0 hook. If under 6 inches, I just downsize to a 3/0.
  19. Everything that's been said makes sense. But, I'm not as far north as I think some of you think I am, I'm in southern Ontario, just east of Toronto. No pike in the lake, just musky, and the average bass I catch in this lake are generally about 2 pounds, but I have pulled out a couple fours and have seen a few fives pulled out. The mouth of the bay is about 4-5 feet deep, and then slowly drops to about ten, where it hits a 20 foot drop off, and on that drop off, there is a big weedline, at the bottom of the drop off, there isnt really anything there, just sand, and some rocks. Would you fish that weedline?
