  1. I dont like that game because you can only use Rapala Crank-baits. Dylan
  2. Some sort of worm. They work all year around. Dylan
  3. Your a good guy, a lot of people would just shrug them off. But your helping create the next generation of fishers. Nice! Dylan
  4. I agree with everything you said. But, the last thing you want to do is overstock. I would just stay with basic baits that have been recommended to you. Good luck! Dylan
  5. Does anyone know of any good fishing games. For PC or a console? Thanks Dylan
  6. Conventional wisdom says that you might use non-rattling baits in clear water to avoid spooking them and rattlers in dirty water to get the fish's attention. However, the trouble with that is that rattlers work in clear water and quiet lures work in dirty water. But you can't go wrong by at least starting out based on the conventional wisdom My unproven gut feeling is that rattles are somewhat overrated. i somewhat agree with you. What your saying makes sense, but I have never found a downside to rattles in clear water, or dirty.
  7. lol, well there was mainly about 5 anglers that i heard over and over. but its nice to see some people like others that you dont hear about to often, and they like them simply because of there style and personality
  8. lol are you kidding??? why wouldnt you want to, it may seem sharp to the touch but in reality is actually dull. that could cost you the fish of a life time.
  9. I like to use a small top-water bait. Or a Booyah spinner-bait. If the top-water fails then I resort to a fast moving bait, such as a spinner-bait, or a lipless crankbait.
  10. In my opinion I think it would be very hard to overpopulate a lake, if it is an average size. I just see to much area for there to be to many fish, causing "small bass syndrome"
  11. Thats not what he is saying. Hes comparing a great fish in the north to a great fish in the south. Like a 5 pound bass in the northern states or Canada, is an average fish in the south. A 10 pound fish in the south is a great fish. Do you know what I mean?
  12. I think its a great question and it does make sense. The bass up in the northern states and southern Canada don't get anywhere as big as the southern bass. In quantity or quality. A 5-6 pound bass is great anywhere you go, but really, any bass you catch is great, right?
  13. Hey guys, I need some help. I have been noticing that it seems like when you fish top-water you need a bigger lure, such as my favorite the Zara Spook, in order to catch generally the bigger bass, compared to something like the Heddon Tiny Torpedo. Does anyone have any opinions? Dylan
  14. I would just cut off a decent sized branch with a chainsaw. There is many many ways to make some cover, and I think a big branch or something would be easiest, plus it doesnt cost you anything.
  15. lol theres the best answer that could be given.
  16. The subject says it all. Who's your favorite angler? Personally mine's got to be my dad, but if I had to choose a professional angler, it would be either Bob Izumi, or Bill Dance.
  17. Rapala Original Floating
  18. Your probably doing what everyone on here used to do, or still does- and that is setting the hook to early. You have to be patient enough to feel the weight of the fish first before you set it. I know I used to set the hook as soon as I seen a fish hit, and I was getting the same results as you. As soon as I took the time to learn that patience, my top-water results have improved greatly. What type of lure are you using?
  19. ok, well if theres anything i can recommend it would be to just stick to what has always worked really.
  20. hey man, im in the same boat as you. Im 15 and my dad used to fish tourneys every weekend. I could ask the same question your asking. Sorry but i got nothing lol Good luck Post again on how you guys do in the tournament, weight etc.
  21. id use the hula popper in the mornings/ evenings when the sun is low, and id use the spinner bait and plastics any other time. just experiment
