  1. Depends on what size/weight baits you intend to use.. Define heavy..
  2. x2 on the Daiwa, its the best out there Oh...just wait for the power pro guys to show up... ;D
  3. I'm sure you guys will Laugh at this.. Baitcaster.. 7'6" Shimano Callcuta rod..MXF, 12-20, 1/2-2oz Reel Shimano Chronarch, spooled with Yozuri Ultrasoft 15lb...or 55lb Samuri braid. Spinning... 7'6" Shimano Clarus LXF 6-12 forgot the lure rating.. Reel Shimano Sharah 2500, spooled with 8lb Yozuri ultrasoft. Not the most $$$, but I caught a bunch of fish on it..saltwater included..
  4. Any bait that is bulky, or catches the wind won't go all that far if your casting into the wind..Try thowing a Mattlures hardgill into a 15mph headwind... ;D One thing you might try is to use a low cast, i.e. a sidearm cast, so the wind doesn't get ahold of the bait the way it would if you casted it higher.
  5. JFYI...I fish the clear 8lb yozuri ultrasoft on my saltwater spining rig..I target spotted bass, and sand bass..When you hook these fish, they more often than not will make a run for the rocks on the jetty..so far in the last month, I've had 0 break off due to abrassion issues...not so with the seaguar Invisx or abrasx fluro. I think you'll be very happy with the line..
  6. Tackletour did a test some time ago..they compared the casting distance of mono vs braid...guess what. braid doesn't cast any further than mono does. Although with new technology, that may be untrue today. I found the spiderwire ultracast does not cast as well as the Diawa Samuri braid, the samuri is allot limper than the spiderwire, and it cost's more..might give it a try..
  7. Being the butt is telescopic..is it adjustable as well..?
  8. Thanks..If you do make it out..good luck..
  9. Thanks.. yeah the 7'6" would be my preference to. Already have a 7'11" hf..The one you have would fit very nice in my arsenal.. Oh, one othere thing if you don't mind..Did you toss any jigs with it, i.e. like 1/2 oz jigs ..? Thanks again.
  10. Male, or female..?
  11. What I find missing, is the mexican government's LACK of keeping those fools out of there. Yes I know, corruption ect..Why doesn't the US put some pressure on mexico to do something..? Could you imagine if the tables were turned..? mexico would be Screaming bloody murder for us to do something... :
  12. Lakers fan since 1983...so I'd have to say..Lakers!!! 8-) Yup, during the showtime years were the BEST.. Although Bird was a heck of a player..

  14. Nice. That's the model I chose too...Question for ya, how is the sensitivity on the rod..? Also, how's the balance..? I'm really hoping to win one on the next go round..
  15. 6lb test will haul in a 10lb bass...the drag is your friend.. Caught a 7lb rainbow on 3 lb trilene xl. Light line makes fishing FUN!!! ;D
  16. I fish em a few ways..T rigged, I wil fish them like a worm. Let it sink to the bottom, then give a twitch or 2..or, give a smooth tug on the rod, to lift the senko off the bottom about 6" or so..let it rest for about 20 seconds, and repeat..You can do this with both weighted, and unweighted senko's..Another popular way is to Whacky rig them, which I favor IF there isn't a bunch of weeds, or snotgrass..You can flyline it, (unweighted) or use a bullet weight Or..dropshot it. Personally, I like to toss em weightless, the senko seems to produce more action, which gets more bites. Oh, you can also slowroll them on the bottom..
  17. Just call your local Shimano service center..
  18. RW, re: Seaguar AbrasX. I went back to Yozuri ultrasoft..the abrasx seems to have no abrasion resistance at all..I had more breakage with the 12lb, than I have wit the yozuri in 10lb. Plus, I really don't see any difference in hook up ratio between the fluro, and Yozuri. Sorry to the op for the highjack.
  19. I only use braid for flippin/pitchen, and on big topwater baits, i.e. 9" lunkerpunker..ect. Now I understand why you don't like it.. ;D
  20. Send them to me..I'll use em..
  21. Awesome...we had some jets do a flyby at laguna Seca MotoGP roadraces...they were LOUD to say the least, but a great sight to see.. 8-)
