  1. Might be easier to get the stamp, and save yourself some possible greif in the future..
  2. 43rd is comming June 21st... geez.. ;D
  3. Totally agree, just let it fall..
  4. Oh..add Bizz, and Big O to my list.. 8-) Just thought of Russ, aka Low Budget Hookers..added
  5. Yep, it's been posted before..
  6. Oh well, second time around..lol WRB, Catt, Francho, Kent, Dwight, for some Monster smallies..Mattlures, and the guy who guides in FL, but I can't recall his name..doh..Plus I'm sure I missed a few others.. :-[ On edit: Add Senko 77..
  7. Congratz...enjoy the $$$. A lot of people I know are forced to take pay cuts..your lucky..
  8. I would Think there are much bigger fish in there than you think.. And I agree, 45 mins is Nothing, you need to spend some time, and learn the place..
  9. Nothing "wrong" just that the bite can sometimes be tough there, same with any lake..DVL has a rep for catching quality fish, sometimes in numbers. But you have to know Where to go on that lake. I know there are 1 or 2 real good guides that fish casitas. You might google casitas lake guides..
  10. Well stated K Mac....I also think a little Jail time needs to be added to the punishment. The DFG agents here in Cali are spread so thin, calling the hotline on poachers is almost worthless, as an agent could be 100's of miles away, due to the number of DFG agents in the field. I wonder how are fiheries are going to survive in the next 10 to 20 yrs if things like this continue..? >
  11. Butch Brown has that down pat..he seems to have a great hook up ratio. I see no need to rig any other way. The hooks pop out, and the bait is seperasted from the fish, so it can't use the baits leverage to throw it..and it doesn't seem to get torn up, any more than any other swimbait.
  12. Right now, a toss up between a Ragetail Craw, and a sweetbeaver 4:20. Both have worked well..
  13. I would get either a Huddelston, or a Mattlures tritail trout, or an ultimate bluegill, if your looking for soft baits.
  14. I tried a lmb in the 70's..didn't care for them then or now..to me, they have a fishy taste, unlike crappie, or bluegill..
  15. I would just add this re: line weight. The fact is you can land a 10lb bass on 6lb test with a 5'6" Light spinning rig. I must say, this fish was caught by my friend that has hunted and fished for about 50 something years, so the skill level comes into play. I do agree though that 8lb anything is pretty light to be throwing frogs, and small swimbaits, I would definitly go up in weight. just do what Paul suggest's and you'll be fine..
  16. Nice going francho.. Funny how sometimes the banged up lures "seem" to catch more fish..
  17. Great lookin fish Speed.. I gotta ask, what's up with the color on that T-Shirt..?
  18. Wow!!! Now those are some Nice smallies..WTG. I think crestliner might be looking forsome of those smallies.. ;D
  19. In So. Cali..all game fish are illegal to use for bait..However in certain lakes you can catch shad with a Dip net, and use them for bait.
  20. Light tackle can, and does bring in bigger bass..I would ask, are your hooks sharp, and how are you setting, or lack there of..the hook..?
  21. Not in my experiences. It's the cover/structure that kills my line..lol
  22. Black Buzzbaits... Also darkcolored Big worms, like the 10" Ragetail Anoconda
  23. If your looking for Quality bass, I would consider San Fran and go to the Delta, or Clear lake..I assume your planning on visiting during the summer..? If not there, then I would opt for Diamond Valley with Art Berry. Sorry I don't have any recomendations for guides up north, but I'm sure you could google guide service for ther delta.
