  1. I must be odd, cuz I've used 3/0's w/o any hookset problems..
  2. My pitchen rod is F..as is my swimbait, all of my other BC rods are xf..persoal preference.
  3. Fine, but we'er talkin Senko's here... ;D
  4. IIRC, the MKII was only made in 22 cal...at least a long time ago it was...
  5. Price range..? And lure weight range.? Nope, a heavy flippin stick will handle "lighter" baits, usually nothing over 2 ozs or so.
  6. Can you even handload .22s ? And if you could, would it even be worth the trouble, compared to buying 22 rounds..?
  7. Dude..look at his screen name.. Uh, that would be a 10-4..
  8. What they do makes them crooks. Deliberately causing havoc on innocent victim's computers and messing with their personal property. There's no excuse for their actions. If they were so "brilliant", they'd already have jobs. Exactly...These morons must have had their lunch money taken from them at some point in life.
  9. I bought a pack about 4 months ago, so far.a big NADA on them...but to be fair, I don't use them as much as the Senko's.
  10. Depends on the size of the reel, and what you plan on fishing for..i.e. for stripers, obviously you'd need more, but for LMB..on a 100 size reel, I usually put about 50% backing..you could get away with less. You can use a few knots, I use a blood knot, because I never plan on getting down to the backing. You could also use a uni to uni, but it's kinda big.
  11. So, I bought a pack of the 3" bubble gum colored senko's, granted I haven't fished them a whole lot. what I'd like to know is, has anyone caught bass on these..? If you have, was the water clear, stained or a mud hole..?
  12. Congratz...!!! 8-)
  13. That's some good advice there. Finding a teacher that will teach you what you enjoy and want to learn makes a world of difference. I wish that I would have had a good teacher 50 years ago when I started playing. I wouldn't have picked up all those bad techniques that I had to un-learn later. Tom Yup, sorta like learning how to swing a golf club..bad habits are hard to break...

If you ever step on one of those bad boys with bare feet, you'd probably understand better the urge to kill them Tom Why on earth would you step on a bee barefoot..? And if you were that bee, what would you do..?

Those are Carpenter bees...just get some old soft wood logs..and set them on end..The bees will be more interested in the soft wood logs i.e. pine ect, than they will be in your shelter. Or plant a smaller soft wood tree..
  16. Good choice... Got bandaids..? ;D sorry, I couldn't resist. Hope you stick some big fish..
  17. 7' Shimano Crucial MHF...159.00 lifetime warranty..
  18. So...which fluro did you wind up getting..?
  19. stripers are bass geez..I'll more specific..Large Mouth Bass...
  20. There are guys I know that use it to troll for Stripers..but they use soft plastic small swimbaits. Never heard of anyone using it for Bass..
  21. Never used glue, imho, if the knot is tied correctly, there shouldn't be a need for glue, but if a person feels so inclined to use it.. Just to offer a little more info..The guy that told me how to tie the uni, fished saltwater, and usually caught much bigger fish than Bass.
  22. Blades are spendy, but Last a long time..Mach III
  23. What brand braid, and what's the test..? I use a uni to uni all the time, 55lb braid to 10 to 15 lb fluro, or yozuri coploy..I've had trilene 100% 12lb fluro snap, but not my knots...Which brings me to another question..assuming your tieing the knot right, how many loops/twists are you doing for each side..? I find that fluro to braid side, 8 loops, braid to fluro, or mono or whatever..I do 6 loops, spit a lot on the knot and slowly chinch it up, then do the same for the other side..when it's time to chinch both knots together, spit on em again. make sure your knots are clean, and uniform..otherwise cut, and retie. I have used this knot to throw heavy swimbaits, so throwing much lighter baits, and hooking fish shouldn't cause a knot failure. One thing I try not to do, is marry 2 lines that are way different in diameters. i.e. 20lb braid, with a 15lb leader..that's kinda like joining a rope and a pice of string together, just a thought.
  24. Time to tie on a lunker punker..
