speed limit for bass boats?
Very few bass boats actually do 70 or better. On their speedos yes, on the GPS or other measuring device no. You would think a new burearcracy with new unforcible rules a good thing - I don't think so. You want to cut down on boating accidents than eliminate alchohol as an optional drink on the water. Of course with any change in boating rules, to make them valid, you need enforcement. Who pays for that? As it is, the DNR's are spread beyond their limits in both equipment and staff. They can't even keep up with the cheater fisherman.

Baitcaster for Weightless Senkos
"Most people will tell you that a bait casting rod/reel is overkill for a senko." You would be very hard pressed to back that one up!

Need Help Finding Law
This cracks me up: you get good sound advice to contact you DNR - I give you two net addresses to read what you can. Your final comment without checking with the DNR is the above jump to the conclusion that it should be legal. Why bother asking? Further you wonder if it is legal to transport live fish. If it is to transplant them then the answer to that one is clearly written in the information that I gave you the address to.

Loctite Marine Epoxy for plastic boat?
Patch - any quality glass (auto) will carry SIKAFLEX urethane. Material used to put windshields into car. Make a patch and us SIKAFLEX urethane to glue surfaces together. It will expand and contract right along with the RamX and will probably outlast the boat. About $10 for a tube which will be more than enugh.

Baitcaster for Weightless Senkos
Senkos are the farthest thing from being a light lure and also are very aerodynamic. I just about spool my chronarchs with this bait cast weightless.

Mounting Fish Criteria
It's easy when you are young to possibly be short sighted, for after all, you have only had your sight for a short time. As time passes however you become less dogmatic in your approach to the many facets of life, as you get the chances to observe and learn more and more. Life is full of mimicry, and many will mimic the words of those more learned, however we that have lived a bit longer and learned a bit more have learned that the only way to conserve what we enjoy is catch and release. Remember this: the next time you have a bass big enough to eat, or big enough to consider it your personal trophy catch, it is bacause those that caught that fish prior to you put it back. A bass that is three pounds has been caught several times prior to you catching it unless you are fishing somewhere in this world that no one has fished, (not very likely), and a bass that is eight pounds and up has been caught many times. Thank those that came before you because if they didn't practice C&R, you would have nothing in the bass family to catch.

overhand casting
How long to learn to use a bait casting reel? I teach people to be able to cast with a bait caster in under 5 minutes. If you are having difficulty with this type of reel it would be very beneficial to get with someone who knows what they are doing. Reel setup is the key to working this rig. That takes knowledge, not practise.

Md. has just about the most complicated and diverse set of fishing regulations in this country due to the diverse nature of its waters. To get an answer to your question you need to contact the DNR and as about the specific waters that you are fishing. I would do no assuming in Md. on any regulation!

You want YOUR name in the record books ?
State record - IGFA record - Not the same thing and not the same qualifications. IGFA records are a lot easier at certain levels to obtain: you do have to follow their rules however.

Landing Nets
"Does useing a landing net make you less of a man or something?" Yep, that's it! So does using pink worms and spraying cologne on your hands to attract those fishies. Rates right in there with the "here fishie fishie" thing. You want to use a net or not use a net: it's your business!

Sealer for boat cover
LM, Check with a local canvas shop - they will have something good. It's sold by the gallon: the key to sucess is soaking the canvas in it and then air drying it. I have done mine a couple of times. West Marine, and Boat US also sell it. Don't get the spray bottles as it will cost you a fortune by the time you are done. I used a paint roller to apply it.

Fishing After Thunderstorms??
"I enjoy fishing the two hours after a storm and even during if the lighting isn't bad." First let me say that any lightening in Florida is always potentially vry bad. Along the weather line, (Melbourne to Tampa), a typical storm line will travel the width of the state and deliver in excess of 10,000 ground strikes. If you can hear the thunder it's time to think about the run back to the ramp, and if you can see the lightening you have waited too long. Storms only bother those that are in them. It does not storm below the surface of a lake. It will neither detract from nor add to your fishing success. Anything that points to it doing so is purely a coincidence. Remember, that the bass live by rules and one of the rules could be to bite like crazy right after a storm, or the rule could be to not bite at all. However, right after a storm, just before the storm, or in the rain: if you are on fish they will more than likely entertain you by biting your presentation.

Your chance to top Fish Chris!
Chris, Largemouth bass *20.13 Big Fish Lake Pasco County, Florida 05/00/23 Frederick Friebel As with so much of our history skeptics and naysayers chose to disregard the above record and go with a certified one. The above record has stood until this: of course back in 23 a person's word was good until proved otherwise. Largemouth bass 17.27 unnamed lake Polk County, Florida 07/06/86 Billy O'Berry Personally I think the first record to be correct and question the validity of the second for as you notice no one knows where the fish came from.

Mounting Fish Criteria
Don't let anyone kid you: a fish that is over 7 pounds is a huge fish. Very few in this world of fishing will truly catch one bigger. I see from 500 - 750 people each and every year and I can ensure you that the majority have not even seen one as big as 7 pounds. Mount the fish that makes you happy - not someone else's idea of a trophy.
