Aprils Monthly Tackle Giveaway Update.
All, the name that Marilyn the cockatoo choose as the winner of Aprils monthly tackle giveaway at Bassnman.com did not contact me within 7 days to claim his prize. What this means is on May 1st we will be giving away 2 tackle packs instead of 1 so this will double your chance of winning a tackle pack for May's giveaway! Please note, as stated when you signed up for the giveaway, you must check the site to see if you're the monthly winner and then send me an email at mike@bassnman.com with your name and shipping address within 7 days, from the email address you registered with. Once I verify that you are indeed the winner I will ship you the tackle pack via Priority mail. If you have not already signed up be sure to do so now. Also, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask. BassnMan Mike

What is the Best way to fish a rocky lake?
I really like to toss football head jigs in the rocks but Senkos and Ikas work real well also.

taking a rookie out
One technique that I find is usually effective when taking newbies out is a 3 or 4 inch worm on a light line split shot rigged. Simple and effective.

What's your favorite finesse technique?
Out here in the clear heavily pressured waters of CA we generally go about it either 1 of 2 ways. 1. Down size, use small finesse baits on light line. Either Split Shot or Drop Shot them. 2. Go Big, swimbaits or big worms, I'm talking 12-15 inch ones.

To net or not to net? This is the newbie's question.
I agree with others, it really depends on the size of the fish and the situation. Competitive fishing, Always. Fun fishing, only if its a big one
