In your opinion is the rico worth it?
The Rico is a good lure but is it worth the cost? I guess thats up to you. Another great popper is Don Iovino's Splash-It. One of my good fishing buddies is a very close friend of Don said that the Splash-It is a Rico who's paint job didnt pass factory standards, a factory blem, so Don buys them up, repaints them and sells them as the Splash-It. I've compared the 2 lures side by side and they do look the same. Mark swears that if you carefully remove the new paint job the Rico name is still there on the lure. BassnMan Mike

bass lures for saltwater fish
Yes, they work, I've got friends that catch Halibut on Flukes and Lucky Craft Pointers. I really need to get down there and catch some with them.

P-line Floroclear
I recently spooled up my crappie rig with the new P-Line Fluorocarbon in 4 pound test because on my last crappie outing, while I did catch a limit, my buddy caught a limit as well but all of his were bigger. Yes, we were using the exact same lure, rod, reel and technique. Oh yeah, we were also fishing the same spot BassnMan Mike

Please rate these reels?
If the Pro Max is the old school made in Sweden Round reel thats a quality reel that will last forever. If its the newer one, I cant comment because I've never used one. As to the other reels, again I cant comment for the same reason

Mcoy line

Do you travel to the lake with boat key in ignition?
I used to leave mine in the ignition until one day when a bunch of us 7 boats, were having a mini tournament at our local lake. When we all stopped for breakfast 5 of us had left our key in the ignition. We finished breakfast and drove the 4 minutes to the lake. Upon our arrival the 5 of us who had left our key in the ignition discovered that our keys were missing. Luckly 4 of us had a spare key in the truck and the unlucky one did not................ Yep, my spare key was at home.

Double Fluke Rig
When I use the double rig, I like to use a smaller bait up front and a larger one in back creating the illusion that the bigger fish is chasing the smaller one.

Crawdad meat vs. whole live crawdad ?
Yes, a live craw will attract more bass, however in my opinion if you have all the craws you could ever use, why not catch a mess and cook them up? They sure are tasty when you cook em in Zatarans crab boil!

The Strike, The Hook Set, or the Fight?
For me one of the best feelings is seeing a monster bass lurking under your swimbait and the anticipation of the strike. However to me the best feeling is watching the bass swim away when I release her after a great battle!

Unfortunate News...
In my opinion, everything in life happens for a reason. We dont have to like it, may never truely understand it but we have to accept it. Things will work out for the best in the end so hang in there and continue to remain positive. BTW, great job on yout tournament finish!
