ive read that most braid loses its color or turns colors etc is their one certain brand that doesn,t...also can this affect your reel or rod.....ive read some revies on spiderwire;s camo version that it maintains its color ? just interested ,,,,,also whats the del with it digging in and whats best way to stop it ,,,use mono backing ? or ive heard some use tape ?

will also say though when they are with me and not using it i use it to throw my strike king series 6 cranks and let me tell ya its does what its made to do very well

may just buy the cranking specific then it is a tas845cb rod i have a topwater rod i use for topwaters and small cranks but would like a rod specifically for the traps and bigger cranks 3/8 to1/2 im not a 20 rods guy but will end up with about 6 baitcasting rigs all rods will be in the team allstar freshwater seriesd as i just love what you get for the money ! and i kinda neede them to be somewhat versatile ...the 845mc is a mag asting rod so i figured it was kind of a good multipurpose rod ?

it is 7ft med action xfast would this work well for rattletraps and big crankbaits ? say1/4 to 1/2 weight lures ?

three of my buddies have the winch and all three say if throwing 3/8 oz plugs or bigger its wonderful but not so much for baits lighter,,,but then again in the add it says its for big crankbaits dont it,,,,

funny you should use the tv example as thats what i do is qc hi def tv's for market use at lg electronics !! love revos s and sx though and have used everyones advice here and picked a bps extreme for 59 instead of the revo winch for160-200 ...if this extreme is what i think im gonna buy the 7.1.1 for flipping and such .love this site ...love taking advice from folks who have been and done

i wonder why i get anyuthing but a revo s it casts as good as any 24lb drag i cant find any other with half that ,,,,i got the extreme for the 5.4.1 if i like i t im gonna get a 7.1.1 for flipping ,,,in all seriousness though how does he revo line have such a high drag power its insane

took my promax back to wally world and bought another evo s (three revos for me now) also ordered a 5.4.1 bps extreme for crankbit reel hope they are good ones likeeverybody here says,,,, also does anybody have the free tacklebag allstar offers ,,,just wondfered how user friendly it is.......

thx andamtoft say you have the silvermax,, what is the drag power or have you caught any big fish i want this to put on a carolina rig rod and ill do some style of flipping or pitching with braid on it i figure in thast application the line and rod fight the fish,,, i already know from the promax i have the max series reels cast farther than just about any reel at all,,,im only concerned about the drag i had a blackmax and caught several 3-5lb fish on it with no trouble at all,,,,anf the promax can horse them is as well ,,,guess i shouldnt let price deterine my choices as these max reels have worked flawlessly

ok i have a revo s and a revo sx and a promax all abu's i like all three the rvos are little smoother ,,,anyway everyone sayd buy 1 piece aluminum frames and try to stay away from the graphite or other frames ,,,why is this ,,do they just last longer or is it perfromance also ? my promax seems to be workig well in year two ,,im gonna buy 1 more reel id like to get the silvermax but its not ppular choice ,,will these maxc reels just not last ?

just bought used all star 846c carolina rod only drawback is it has a loose guide eye closest to reel seat ,,,what is best way to fix this ,,,dont want to hurt the sensitivity

if the extreme can cast with the silvermax then its a heck of a reel,,,i fishes with a silvermax about 10 different times last year on a 6'6 crankbait rod with 10 lb cajun red cast ,,,farthest ive ever thrown a 1/4 oz crankbait and other people took notice,,,,, oh yeah i was in a stocked pond with where i caught close to 10 fish in excess of 5lbs and the silvermax reels them in just fine,,,,, i will admit though it doesnt reel as smooth as my revo s or revo sx but then again we get what we pay for

no i am with ya on those points im all for better rods i am using all all star im10 rods now that i just purchsed a 7ft mh 846c carolina rig ,,,ill probably use it more for flipping or pitching or chunking a frog,,,,,, its kinda of a middle road for me here its not a 7'6 flipping stick but not real light either

do you really need a 7ft6" heavy flippoing stick i mean braid is not gonna brak so do you really need the broom stick ....reason i ask is i dont like the feel of heavy and some medium heavy rods they are not as sensitive ,,,,all star makes a 845mc mag cast rds 7ft medium i was thinking of putting 65lb braid on it and t being my frog and pitching rod and maybe light fdlipping ,,,does anone use this techinique or agree disagree with this ?

i fish 99% for bass only have 1 spinning rig now for 5" wacky worms and such ,,,, im gonna use 6lb braid ,,,well thats the mono equiv in diuameter it actaully 20 lb test far as braid goes,,,, if either have experience i fish mostly guntersville lake or wheeler lake and i dont consider them to be clear lakes ,,,any advice i appreciate

Ok over last few years ive became a crankbait fisherman first kinda guy where i fish they are most successful , so ive bought tons of them. My problem is i got three bins of them or more and well i can't remember how deep each runs and sure i know in general long bill deep short bill shallow ,,,is their a guide or measuring system yall use for this i mean somtimes 1-2 ft makes a huge difference and i cant remember if it runs 3-5 or 4-6 or just 4 ? thx for your help

took my select back and bought a carolina rig team im10 rod now have all teamm im10 rods made in houston texas ,,,,,,

new here but been bass fishing since 89 ,,, id get dt cranks obvious fishing depth,,,id secondly use a buzaz bait they are the most fun and when time is right are deadly

what do yall use and do they actually float ,,,,,

i have the select 7.0 mh carolina rig was just thinking i could do same thing with the 6'10" team rod instead as it feels lighter and it matches my sets as my other two baitcasters are team im10 rods,,,, also looked at the 7'2 asr series for my pitching flipping slop rod if you will

also what is the difference in the team allstar rods that are 80 bucks and the all star select that are 60 bucks ?

what would you guys use this for strictly piotchin ? or could it used for frogs and spinnerbaits 1/2oz + or 1/2oz + cranks and also carolina rigging,,,i have a ml and mh in these rods and this will be my third the reel i have is a revo sx...
