  8. Neither. it is a dry drag system. Lighter fluid works, also carburator cleaner. I prefer industrial acetone from Home Depot good deal It helps a lot to have the schematics in front of me this time...
  9. Thank you... for some reason I couldn't find that... 8-) Do you know if I am suppose to grease or oil the ceramic drag?? Can I clean the bearings with lighter fluid???

  11. You keeping an Oscar? what size tank, filter, diet etc.. Your main worries should be ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.. Just do weekly water changes of about 40-50% and be sure to use water conditioner... trust me I have been keeping fish for a long time and currently maintain a 220g, 90g, and 30g with no issues nor a test kit... The only time I use a test kit is when I'm cycling a new tank with new filter media.... :)happy fish keeping
  12. I was once told to turn the sonar off if the transducer was not in the water. Something about the transducer would over heat.

  15. I am a machinist and I have been working in a machine/fab shop for 3.5yrs now. I have done everything from running bridgeports, welding, fit, paint and assembely . But for the last year or so I have been CNC programing... www.fraserfab.com I love my job.
  16. Ahhhh.... Pflueger president... I own 2 of their 6735 spinning reels and think they are a great reel for 60 bucks. I gotta do some hands-on research at BassPRO and get the feel for these reels everyone here speaks of..
  17. Yeah I was looking at that one last night and seems to be a good reel to go with. Never owned a shimano anything, I might have to take the plunge and get it. What does everybody think about Quantum's energy reels... I own 2 of the pt20 spinning reels, and if the baitcasters are as nice as the spinning reels I might go that route... I can never make a decision.... :-/

  19. OK....So I am in the market for a new baitcasting reel. The only problem is that I have never owned nor used a one... I have an understand on how one works, but at the same time I know nothing about one.... What would you pros recommend for a newbie?? Trying to stay lower than a buck fifty. also I am planing on puting it on a MH 7' rod...
  20. Hello my name is Marke.... And yes I am addicted to fishing.... I have been fishing most all of my life...Targeting bass for 6 years or so. I've have recently found an interest in tourny fishing and have been doing so for the past two years now. I have also found a taste for Eye's and plan on doing much more of that this year..
