1st time home buying
My wife and I looked at dozens of houses before we bought our last one. Finding everything you want move in ready is next to impossible. That's why we had the house we are in now built and still have things we want change after being here a while. Keep at it and don't get discouraged. You'll eventually find something suits you.

This. I never trust a gas gauge.

How to cook grey squirrels
I have only seen them skinned, filleted and cooked into stew or dumplings. I've never seen squirrel eaten by itself.

Looking to add a trolling motor to parents pontoon
I agree on the 60" 36v. You will need 3 new batteries in addition to what you have.

Satellite internet questions
Where I live we only have 1 internet provider and it is ridiculously slow DSL. I have been looking into satellite companies like Hughes net but am skeptical after reading the reviews. I work from home so a stable connection is a must. Do any of you have satellite internet and how do you like it?

Nobody loves our sport as much as tackle shops.
If the $70 makes you upset stay out of auto racing of any type.

Aluminum Bass Boat
Just my opinion but I would never go in debt for a boat. Nobody has 100% job security and a boat payment can only hurt you if you fall on hard times.

Fluorocarbon leaders
I have never had good luck with Vanish but it was most likely your knot. It's very easy to nick FC when tying. You also need to retire your leader to the main often if it's passing through the guides.

Most consecutive days?
I have been on several 5-7 day trips where we fished hard everyday. Most consecutive days wetting a line is probably about 15 or so during the spring. I fish a lot of days a year just not consecutively.

Anyone else kind of a jerk?
I'm definitely a jerk but that's unrelated to fishing. I'll usually tell you what I caught them on.

That one thing you never thought you needed...
A trolling motor with spot lock. No more hiding in coves on a windy day.

Tackle Wonderland Revisited
That looks sort of shady. Where does he get all that stuff?

Ever take your dog with you?
If my boat leaves the dock my lab is in the passenger seat.

Cleaning an aluminum bass tracker
I use White Lightning chrome and aluminum cleaner on my pontoon boat. You just spray it on and hose it off.

Hit a rock with my Stainless Steel prop on my Evinrude E-Tec 115 horse
I would get it fixed and balanced but it would probably work like it is. You need to check the prop shaft run out too.

Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes?
Home Depot because they are the closest. I do drive to Lowes for bigger ticket items because of the 10% discount.

New outboard cost and installation fees
Probably cheaper to sell what you have and buy a boat with a bigger motor.

Just don't understand
I understand your point but I wouldn't cross it on plane either. I wouldn't want to run anywhere I couldn't stop quickly if I need to without tearing up a prop or skew.

Not Cool
I would have clogged his toilet and called a bunch of 1-900 numbers on his phone.
