  1. I have the Olympus 1050sw. If you check out Amazon, you can get some killer deals. The camera has been flawless for me and I would buy one again.
  2. Is it possible that the 3 boats found a few small patches of living grass in practice?
  3. HAHA. Let's keep that color combo on the DL.
  4. $3100 for a BFL
  5. Black Widows are the coolest spiders. When I was younger we used to walk around the neighborhood lifting up people's water meter and aggravate them. They build some amazing nests and they are pretty F*$@ing aggresive. Never been bit by one, but I know quite a few people that have.
  6. Rolo, I believe Scott is talking about Smith Mountain Lake. It should be on your Navionics
  7. LOL. The second I saw the title of this thread I knew I was toast. I have never had a problem with AE clothes shrinking, but I think they are overpriced for the quality. If you can pay just a bit more, then go to Hollister. There stuff is wicked comfortable, doesn't shrink, and is way higher quality.
  8. Hey man, I used to live in Loganville but now I'm in Snellville which is about 10 minutes down the road.
  9. Great... that settles it then... Senko_77 - We, the male members at BR, are officially taking away your mancard due to a violation of the "Official Male Code of Conduct". Please vacate the premises and do not return . Thank you. ;D knew this was gonna come up ;D I believe that the termination of my mancard should at least be reconsidered due to my incredible fish catching talent and my ability to eat 40-50 hot wings before the 1st period/quarter of a sporting event ends. I also believe that Tin's mancard should be suspended due to the fact that his GF buys and picks out all of his outfits
  10. I believe #7 should be revised. How about...... If your best friend is dumped by a girl it is a 6 month waiting period till she can be touched. If he breaks up with her it's a 6 hour waiting period
  11. West Point is a TOUGH lake my friend. I will be there this Friday 5/15 and Saturday 5/16 for the BFL Tournament. We are launching out of Southern Harbor Marina on Saturday morning at 7 and the weigh-in will begin at 3. There should be at least 170 boats in the tournament. Come on up there to weigh-in. The tournament director gets a lot of the anglers to talk about how they caught them and if you ask around, you can get some good information from the local anglers.
  12. KVD could beat me even if he was noodling
  13. Hey Patrick, tournament fishing isn't any different from rec. fishing except your trip is limited to 8 hours. The biggest thing is to go and HAVE FUN! Fish with the exact same mentality you had when you busted that 20lb sack a couple weeks ago. Just go with the flow and every spots your boater hits, make it work for you. Don't worry to much about what your boater is throwing. Throw what you think will work. I bet your better than all the guys in the club anyway. Good luck man and have a blast. Let us know how you do.
  14. Yeah, the riprap that faces the Marina is way more productive than the other side. I will be down there for a tournament this Sunday and I will let you know how we caught them. Supposedly the shad spawn is going on big time right now way up the river near the twin bridges area and they have been killing them on spinnerbaits.
  15. Who did you ride with? Let's hear some details....you cant just come in here and stir the pot without throwing in some details. ;D on Day 2 I rode with Aaron Martens That's really cool that you got a day on the water with the eventual winner. I'm almost positive that Senko77 is jealous. ;D You lucky S.O.B.!!! I would kill to have a day of fishing with Martens. What did he throw? What was it like sitting in the boat with the most patient angler on the Elite Series?
  16. Big, try going to the Little River Marina and fish the rip-rap around that bridge. There are TONS of tournaments that go out of Little River and when they release those fish they always chill by that bridge awhile. You can take a jig and mop up on those fish.
  17. Even if you are having trouble getting those fish to commit, it's atleast giving away there general location. Try going back through that area and throwing a wacky rigged worm or fast falling jig to trigger a reaction strike. I would rather see a 5lber and have the confidence it was there than to never know it was there at all.
  18. Zoom is a soft plastic bait company that makes ribbontail worms, straight tail worms, lizards, creatures, tubes, etc. "senko" is a style of worm originally designed by Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits. It's a cigar shaped worm that shimmies when it falls. There are many senko style baits on the market now. Zoom's is the Z-Nail worm.
  19. x2 They need to make them in natural shad and perch colors like the Aruku's. Very soon my friends, very soon
  20. Scott, I've been following it since day 1. They are absolutely smackin them. Hoping my man Aaron can stay consistent....wonder if him and Byron are sharing a spot ;D
  21. Hey Natural. I just bought my first H2O baits on Wednesday. They are sick! I finally was able to get out to an Academy and see them for myself. I bought some of the big deep divers, medium divers, and some crankin shads. I couldn't believe the paint jobs on the RC knock-offs. Unfortunately, that real good shallow crank bite is slowing down here in Georgia but I will definitely be giving them a try next Spring. I didn't see the Aruku knock-off while I was there. The only lipless vibe I saw looked alot like the LC Vibe-500 or whatever it's called. DO you know if the H2O is weighted in the nose like the Aruku?
  22. The standing timber at Oconee is great in the dog days of summer, but the docks are where it's at. It's most important to learn them because it will always be something that you can fall back on and catch fish if your primary pattern doesn't work. Like I said, there are always fish to be caught at Oconee's and Sinclair's docks 365 days a year.
  23. Oconee is my favorite lake by far! Oconee and Sinclair fish pretty much the same. All year long your going to have a strong dock pattern. Sinclair doesn't really have many deep water spots and Oconee has a few, but first, get a feel for how the dock fish work and get your skipping dialed in. When I fish either lake, I like rows of docks with deep water nearby, especially if it's a channel swing that comes up next to the outside posts. Sunny days: Have jigs and shakyheads tied on with different weights. Throw to all the posts, ladders, boatslips, etc on the outside and then after you have hit the edges, start skipping your bait underneath the dock. Within an hour or two, you can pretty much narrow it down to which spot on a dock they will be on and you can pull up to a dock, throw to that spot, and move on. Cloudy/windy/rainy days: Have spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and buzzbaits tied on. When the sun is covered up, fish at Oconee and Sinclair like to roam on the edges and in between the docks. Throw your baits down the edge of the dock then hit all the water between the docks. If you hit a stump or brushpile, make multiple casts to that area. If you do this, you should be able to increase your catch. My favorite soft plastics on Oconee and Sinclair is the *** Finesse worm and the Zoom Ultravibe Speed worm. For jigs, I like the Spro K-Finesse jig and the Gmans jig. As for the hardbaits, just about any will do as long as you aren't running any deeper than 6ft or so, but I personally use the Spro Aruku Shad and the Spro Little John. Also, make sure you have the chartreuse JJ's Magic with you because both of the lakes can get real muddy and it will help the fish find it a bit easier. Good luck dude
