LaserLure
Unfortunately LaserLure has advertised it ALL WRONG! One of my good buddies is real close to the Owner. They aren't a gimmick. They flat out catch. The only problem I have with them is they have crummy hooks. I do know for a fact that Ike and Gary Klein absolutely wasted them on there recent trips where they filmed with it. This year they are putting out a laser jig, and other hard bait models as far as I know. I'm not sponsored by these guys, so don't think I'm tryin to be a patch pirate.

My Aquarium (Pic Heavy)
Thats what you think. Personally I think they are nothing but a pain to keep. They will eat your fish, dig up your plants and then end up underneath your couch dead and stinking up the place a week later. They like to climb so make sure your tank is completely covered. x2 on the climbing thing. When I was 5, we had a giant craw in our tank and my sister woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. When she got to the toilet, guess who was there looking up at her?

Rapala DT 20
Not that I doubt you. There are 2 review posted at BPS from last month alone stating that the bill does break off easily. So I don't know. This could be people getting older baits. I have no doubt that a company like Rapala would fix the problem in a hurry. It's just like the bad batches of Berkley Vanish. The new spools are great, but the older ones are terrible. Every once in awhile you come across one of the older spools that just never sold.

GYCB Kreature
I LOVE the Kreature. I rig it exactly opposite of Bassfishingmachine. The eye of the hook is coming out of the skirted end, kinda like rigging a Fat Ika. I've had most of my success dragging this bait on a Carolina rig through rock and clay. The fish will crush this thing. Favorite color is the watermelon/gold

No love for the G-Splash?
I think you don't hear much about it, because for the money, there are much better "walking" poppers. I had a few of the G-Splashes and higher end baits like the Rico, Yellow Magic, and Hydro Splash all walk much smoother.

Rat-L-Traps: Quality Control Problems? (response from RatLTrap)
The lack of quality is one of MANY reasons why I am no longer with Rat-L-Trap, and the other reason being that they stole an idea I gave them and they gave me no credit other than a pat on the back and a thank you > Fish Aruku Shads and Rattlin' Vibes....you will be alot happier.

Cabelas
Well #1, I worked for them for over a year and I saw things that happened back in the shipping and receiving area that would make you sick. G-Loomis rods lashed together with rope and tossed around. Reels falling out of the boxes and getting all scratched up then brushed off and tossed back into the box. Rainwear and other clothing getting a dirty in the back then brushed off quickly before getting put on the floor. #2 - They don't carry jack. I prefer shopping at a mom and pop store like Hammonds Tackle that carries every product that Tacklewearhouse carries, and if they don't have it, they will order it for me with lightnin fast shipping. #3 - Hope this doesn't offend anyone, but the employees at the BPS store near me are unbelievably dumb. They don't know the difference between a crankbait and a spinnerbait and they don't know when to shut their mouths. I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Cabelas. Their employees never push a product, and are always there if you need help.

Cabelas
The ONLY good thing I have to say about BPS is there return policy is golden. Other than that, Cabelas dominates in every aspect.

Seeing in 3D
I have been PM'ing Catt today about this thread. I went out yesterday with the 3D mindset, which is something I haven't ever thought of, and had the best day of deep water fishing. It was incredible. If your not doing this when your out on the water, you need to!

Yo-Zuri Rattl'n Vibe Questions
Replace both trebles with a small, straight shanked worm hook. Attach it to the split ring with the points facing up and the bait will be pretty weedless. Hope this helps

Am I Lactose Intolerant?
- Am I Lactose Intolerant?
Let's hope for that web shooting thing we talked about today. Probably take your mind off this real quick.- which would you use
You can't go wrong with a jig in winter. If I had to choose 1 thing, it would be this. Other good options are jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and aruku shads (lipless crankbait)- THANKS A.D.D
Dude, that's funny!- Bass Depth-Activity Level-Lure Choice
Muddy - Either the fish were still deep, but were rushing upwards to take your topwater bait, then diving back down to the deeper water or there were fish that were suspended above the grass during the day that became active that night.- Help me choose a trailer color
Jig trailer color doesn't make a difference IMO. What I think makes a difference is if the angler throwing it feels confident in it. Get something that looks awesome to you, then cast into a productive spot and work the bait in a way that looks awesome to the fish.- Bass Depth-Activity Level-Lure Choice
This needs to be stickied. Awesome thread.- recomendations on a fishing trip to southeast in march??
Lake Varner in Covington, GA or Lake Lanier in Cumming, GA. Varner is PACKED full of fish over 8. One of our members here on BR, Randall, caught a 15lber out of Varner last year. It's an electric motor only lake, but the fish will be spawning about the time your trip is set to take place. Varner is pretty clear and if your a good sight fisherman, it's the place to go. Many of the 1-day jonboat tournaments out there are won with 25-35lbs/5 fish Lanier is still very low, but the magnum spotted bass sure don't care. They are slaying big fish on Lanier right now and that will continue all year. The water is super clear and since almost all of the 72 ramps are closed, the pressure has been low. If you choose to go to Varner, email Randall Kirkpatrick with Fish Atlanta Guide Services. He has awesome prices and will teach you more in a day than you have learned your whole life. If you go to Lanier, contact Ryan Coleman. He is the most popular guide on the lake and to add to his credentials, he won the BASS Invitational on Lanier in 2007. The dude knows his stuff. Good luck and have fun! - Am I Lactose Intolerant?
