Zoom Horny Toad Smells.
Strong plastic smell or not, they will catch fish. If the smell makes you lose confidence in the bait, then you need to switch. You have to have 110% confidence in what your throwing. If you do decide to try and find an alternative, then check out the *** Strokin Toad. This thing makes a racket, is extremely affordable, and doesn't really have that plastic smell

How about this?
So your saying just for testing a product, you want your name to be on the packaging that EVERY customer will see? That seems a bit lopsided on who gets the better deal IMO. Could you clarify what the company would gain by YOU testing the product instead of someone else, and is that gain really worth putting your name on the product where thousands of eyes will see it? Not attacking, just wanting clarification.

Help with the turnover
Glenn's 2 presentation suggestions are really your only choice. Turnover is an extremely tough time to fish, but they gotta eat, so remember that and gain confidence from that. If I were you, I would burn a buzzbait or rip a jerkbait. When I say burn, I mean BURN. If that isn't working, then switch to a light drop shot rig and throw it where you know there are fish relating to the bottom. Let it sit and don't move it. After about 30 seconds or so, lift it just till you can feel the weight, then let it sit again. You need to keep that bait in the strike zone until one decides he has seen enough of it. This is also a time where I think scent can play a big role. Load your baits in JJ's Magic or Megastrike. Patience is going to be key whether your looking for that reaction strike or crawling a worm on the bottom. The guy who is most patient will win the tourny. Take that and the fact that fish are fish and have to eat, build confidence around it, and go out there and get that limit. Good luck dude!

Most Over Rated Lure(s)
I wanna say the Paddle Tail/Bass-Trix type baits, but I have gotten so many bites on them, I just can't hook an fish with the darn things! I would also say the chatterbait, but I haven't fish with it enough to give it a negative review. On my first outing with it, I hooked a fish and the snap connecting the blade to the line broke in half. That to me was a large problem. Brush Hogs. I can't catch a cold with these things. I'll pop on a GYCB Kreature and wax em!

winter soft plastic's
I am a huge believer that straight tail worms will dominate curly tailed soft plastics in the winter. When the fish get lethargic, I really think that a plastic with alot of motion will turn them off. They don't want to eat something that is gonna give them any kind of trouble, and I think the straight tailed worm is so subtle that it looks like to easy of a meal to pass up. Just my opinion. To answer your question, I like the *** finesse worm or taper tail in natural colors like green pumpkin or watermelonseed. Good luck dude!

Why do you fish the jig you fish?
I fish Gman's jigs. Here is a link to his website. http://www.custombassfishinglures.com/index.php/custom-baits-2 I usually fish jigs on clay, rock, and wood, so I use the Finesse Roundhead jig. I mainly buy the 5/16oz in "senko77 special" which is a custom color he makes for me. G's jigs are top notch. The eye's are always free of paint, he wire ties with precision and his jigs just flat out catch fish. They have won me some nice checks and bailed me out of some tough situations. There pricing is very fair and he can make you any color you want. He's like the *** of jigs. Shoot him a pm. I'm sure he'll hook you up.

Oil Prices Plunge!
Typically state and local taxes play the largest role in this. From http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgastaxes.asp Texas tax is 20 cents per gallon. That's only for state taxes too. That doesn't include the 18.4 cents per gallon federal tax. Wow. I didn't know Georgia had the lowest tax in the U.S. Most stations here are between 2.25 and 2.35. I haven't seen anything lower than 2.25.

Booyah has done it again!
Great idea. When I saw it on the Bassmaster mag last month I was like...."why didn't I think of that!" I wouldn't drop $100 for it, but for a dad who is trying to make fishing fun for his kids while teaching them how to flip/pitch, it's an excellent idea.

Spro BBZ-1 Shad Question
The slow sink is definitely a SLOW sink. I favor the fast sink because like Deadeye said, it's more versatile. Both baits have freakin crazy action and will catch fish. I think Bass_Fin@tic is right, the chimp would be happy with both....or how about 2 of each in case you lose one

Gammy FInesse Wide Gap hooks
Wayne, I could be taking it wrong, but it seems to me that you think I was attacking you somehow. If it seemed that way, I apologize. I respect your opinion, and you gotta use what works for you. I was just stating that it has been flawless for me since LBH turned me onto it 2 years ago. The guy asked a question and I was answering it. Again, I'm sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you. I simply just disagree. I could count on one hand the number of fish I've missed on this hook. Maybe I've been lucky and the hook point is up when they hit, or maybe, when you pull on your line, it rights itself? All I know is it works for me and he asked for our opinions.

Gammy FInesse Wide Gap hooks
Man I am shocked by the negative opinions on this hook. The Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap is the only hook I use for wacky rigging. I like the #1 or 1/0 in red or if I'm fishing heavy grass, the weedless wide gap is what I go with. I have NEVER had a problem with fish not hooking up and they never shake off during the fight. My favorite part of the hook is that it gets the fish in the roof of the mouth EVERYTIME. It's cheaply priced, high quality, and consistent for me. I would strongly suggest it. Decide for yourself. It's only like $2/pack. Heck, if you send me your address, I'll ship a pack to you so you can see for yourself.

What a toad! What brand crankbait did she hit?

Go-to Texas Rig Baits
I like the *** Finesse Worm or the Zoom Dead Ringer. I use the Trick worm in clear water, and I use the Dead Ringer in dirty water, or when the fish are suspended on dock posts, I'll pitch it to the post, and the big tail slows the fall. Those suspended fish can't help but eat it when that thumpin' tail comes spiraling down.

When do plastics in 'non-traditional' colors work best?
I like using the pinks, sherberts, lime, etc. during the spawn and post spawn, but try using them on dark, cloudy days. I've caught some nice fish with a pink worm on a dark day.

October Fattie
Nice fish Tony. Sounds like ya'll had a great day

Deep already?
I don't think there that deep because they thinks it's winter. They are mostly likely in that depth range because that's where the food is. You catch them on structure in Summer and Winter because they relate to structure more that time of year, but in the Fall, it's all about the bait. Find the bait, find the bass. Stick with the jighead because you caught some on it, but when they stop hitting that, try dropping a jigging spoon right on there heads and snap it a few times. They won't be able to resist it. Good luck!

Big Bass baits
You increase your odds of catching a big fish with certain baits. I personally like jigs and buzzbaits for big fish, but it has more to do with location IMO. Concentrate on finding the big fish in your lake, then worry about what to throw at them. I've caught 3 over 10lbs. One was on bed, so it doesn't count, but my other 2 were caught on a shallow running crankbait, and a finesse craw with a 1/0 Gamakatsu EWG and 1/16oz slip sinker. The one that hit the craw was 14.7lbs but it wasn't because of what I was throwing, it was because they location I caught it from was the perfect recipe for holding a big bass.

Flu shots
I love how every winter, my friends and there families get a little sniffle, and they are moaning about how they have the flu. I have never had it, but I have seen people with it and I know it's a whole lot worse than a sniffle and a cough. Never got the shot because I'm petrified of needles. I can bet that when I get it for the first time, I'll be the first lined up to get the vaccine.

Dels molds are top notch. IMO, they are worth every penny. You get what you pay for.

Shackey Head or Drop Shot
That's shocking. They both mop up for me. Keep throwing that shaky head and you'll catch fish.
