  3. LOL. Look at that head. And im not talking about that fish ;D
  4. 20ft at the max. i like throwing 1/8oz weights so i lose feel once i pass 20ft.
  5. My god. Thank you lord!!! I am now on my 6th phone. The drink has taken my last 5 phones in a year and a half. I have a ticked mom and a phone company who doesnt like the fact that I have insurance. My mom is gonna love this plus its sick that its verizon because that is what I have. Thanks for the post!
  6. My best freind, orey10m, is my teammate. Even though he can't fish all the tournies with me, when he does I do way better. We both fish real similar and work together for the limit then the kicker. More importantly, I trust him with a net, I trust his abilities, and most important I trust him. The whole day we will talk on what to do next and I trust him enough to know he's right and he is the same way about me. If im fishing a point that he doesn't feel good about, then I'll leave and go to his spot. The other awesome thing is that even if he isn't having a good day, I do because I know he's there and the same goes for him.
  7. Keep throwing. Everyone gets in a funk at one time or another. If I were you I would stick with the senko. It will catch when others cant. One thing to is line. That water sounds crystal clear if your seeing fish 10' down. Try using flourocarbon because its nearly invisible under water.
  8. 1) I have broken plenty of DT lips, but I have never broken one while reeling in a fish 2) Wacky rigs have more action than a texas rig because both ends are free to wiggle. Also, since the hook is exposed the fish usually hook themselves and a light, sweeping hookset ensures that its in there. You also said you have only tried it a few times. It took me forever to catch my first senko fish on a t-rig. So keep throwing it and one day they will be in a "wacky" mood. 3) Even though it looks like they snag more, I haven't noticed any difference other than me hooking more fish. But I haven't fished them enough to truly say there better.
  9. Geeeee thanks FC. Those pics make me absolutely unhappy with my PB. LOL. I am going to catch one over 16. Thats my goal. You'll see it soon as pretty much all my 8+'s have come at the end of fall through winter. I have been bass fishing for 3 years now. Every winter I get a new PB. Let's hope that 16 takes a tru-tungsten jig That will make them very, very happy!!
  10. I've been catching all my fish on spro aruku shads, sammy 100's, and a split shot rigs. Fish are all over the place. Some days there on shallow flats feeding like crazy and other days there grouped over points feeding like crazy. But lately the ticket has been covering water until you find those fish that are feeding like crazy. A wonderful fall pattern
  11. First off, I just wanted to let you know that I look up to you more than any other member on here. Everytime I read your posts I'm itching to get out on the lake again. Most of the people who "roll there eyes" dont understand that you have worked your butt off to catch those fish. It's not usual for someone out of town to walk on there and wear the big ones out. If I went to your lake, and you gave me your boat, favorite rod and reel and bait, and sent me out for a month I could garuntee I wouldnt catch one of those big ones unless I got realllllly lucky. They also dont realize how many hours you put on the water no matter what mother nature throws at you. There all idiots who can bend over and take it up the rear. Dont listen to them. Keep posting those beauties.
  12. bucket, i only read the first page of replies, so im not sure if someone had already suggested this. but anyway, i like the idea. its pretty cool. if your still on a 3-way swivel idea, then drop it. the problem with fishing two baits with a 3-way swivel is if you hook to fish and they go opposite directions your line will snap every time. garunteed. you said something in one of your posts about once one bass is hooked up others wont bite the other spinnerbaits. not true. there have been countless times that i have hooked a fish on a fluke, jerkbait, crankbait, etc and as im lipping the fish theres 10 others following it trying to grab the lure out of its mouth. i like your wire idea. i know you know that its to thick and you have to find something thinner but strong enough for multiple bass. i would use piano wire. its the wire that some spinnerbait companies use. its super tough and your gonna need some strength and some needle nose pliers to make the line ties on each end of it. you can buy piano wire for dirt cheap at most quality hobby stores. now, i have an idea on how to make the baits less "tangly" let's say you have 3 spinnerbaits rigged on. how about one of them has dual colorado blades, one has a willow and colorado, and the other has double willow. that way they all ride in different positions in the water column. the double colorado will want to rise while the double willow will sink more due to less resistence and the willow/colorado will sit even the whole way in. not sure if you understand what im saying but i think it could work if you played around and found the right blades for them. you could also make the double colorado have a really thick skirt so it sinks slower and the double willow have a real thin skirt so it sinks faster.
  13. chris, what size motor are you looking at? it would be way more convienent to get a 24v because its way more battery efficient. fishbears setup is two 55's. 55 is the highest you can go with a 12v. an 82 is way more battery efficient because it draws less power from both batteries. also, 1 82 is faster than 3 55's due to the prop size. i run all my electronics and livewell off of a small everstart group 24 battery.
  14. O ok. Well the Premiere I had was a medium spinning rod and it ended up as a medium heavy. So i guess Premieres run up. Thanks for clearing that one up Mud
  15. the night i got hooked on bass was when my best freind (orey10m), and his dad took me out to fish buzzbaits. it was pitch black and i thought what in the world will hit this thing. at that point all my fishing had been salt water. my second or third cast and BAM. my heart was beating faster than it ever had. it was pure adrenaline. so i guess adrenaline is my reason for bass. they seem to get it rushing the best, but i can tell you, since that summer night of 03' my sole purpose in life, my every extra moment of thought and every second of free time has been spent outthinking bass and owning every lake possible.
  16. Senko77... Every time I see one of your pics (especially your avatar), it makes me smile!!! Thanks!!! Kevin LOL. well im glad you like it. gotta give the yelling fish pic props to lbh. he showed me that pose
  17. matt, remember that st. croix runs one power up, so a "medium" is actually a medium heavy, a medium heavy is a heavy and so on. just thought i would tell you that so you wouldnt be surprised after you bought it
  18. 14.7 FourBizzle, that is a really pretty fish. I love how the cali bass differ so much than my georgia bass. yours is alot lighter colered and has a football shape. i love it.
  19. I choose SENKO because at the time it was my favorite technique and I was good at it. 77 is the number of my favorite hockey player, Ray Bourque. Senko77 is simple so I just stuck with it.
  20. fish_chris has a real good article he wrote on his website about fishing live dads
  21. Be safe out there bud and thank you for defending our freedom. We will all be prayin for you
  22. yea, send me what you need made.
  23. A large ammount of water like what you said in a short time can send the fish into "shock" A flash flood flips there enviroment upside down in an instant and quick changes in the enviroment can send the fish running for awhile. Seems like the bigger fish were affected but not the little ones. In my experience, when the fish are in "shock", they hunker donw deep in grass, sit as deep as they can in brush piles ect. Kinda think like if there were a tornado coming for your house. You would get in the most protected area in the middle. So bass are the same way. All the sudden a massive ammount of highly oxygenated water is dumped in and the fast change scares them. Puttin a heavy jig in the grass and brushpiles is probably what you have to do. Throw it in, shake it a few times, then reel in and cast to a different part of the grass or other structure because your basically gonna have to put the jig right on the fish's head. Hope this helps
  24. Usually, if you have a bass that is 28+ you have a 10lber. After 28in. the belly grows more than length.
  25. no, but i'd like to have some small names sponser me once i get into tourney fishing. LOL. sorry matt but you have to spell "sponsor" right to have a prayer at gettin a "sponsorship". Screw pursuing sponsors at this point in the game. Get good grades, become a top notch angler, and go fish tournies and get some good background. Have your first sponsor dying to sponsor you rather than pokin and proding to work a deal. And also, are you looking for a product sponsor or a financial sponsor?
