What's Up!
Nice work! As long as one is truthful about the weight and size of a fish, I don't care how you hold it for the pic. That one definitely matches up nicely with the weight you provided.

Kentucky Lake trip.
Nice work, K_Mac!

Good day for me.
That's a very nice fish! She's got a great gut on her.

The smile says it all.
Congratulations to her! Those smiles are what it's all about, aren't they?

Stunted Farm Pond... How do I fix it?
The Missouri Department of Conservation provides PDFs to manage new and old ponds for different types of fish. The link for managing for trophy largemouth bass (below) tells you how many pounds of fish to remove and how many forage fish to add per acre. You can find pricing for stocking bluegill on the Internet as well. Removing small bass and adding small bluegill is what it boils down to in most cases. What typically happens is the bass become too numerous, eat all of the small forage fish, and you are left with bluegill and sunfish that are too big for the small bass to eat. Adding forage fish to a 1.5 acre pond will probably run around $1000 - $1500 more or less. Since your landowner isn't likely to spend money your only choices are to remove fish, or go fish somewhere else. http://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/resources/2011/05/trophy_bass.pdf

Anyone use 'slick' treatment for trailer bunk boards?
My wife has been telling me for a while to back off a bit because I still feel pretty nimble for 55. However, the joints are stiffer and hurt more. At some point, you have to start being careful or you will hurt yourself.

Beat my PB last night
That's a solid, nice-looking fish! She definitely looks like a 6 lb'er.

Any White Bass Fisherman Here?
I catch them a lot as well, though it is rare that I go fishing with white bass as the main item on the agenda. Here and there when the bass aren't biting, switching to white bass has turned a bad day into an awesome day. I use chrome pepper spoons, chrome and white pepper spoons, crappie jigs with grub trailers, and rooster tails most of the time.

Superb Spring Break
Nice! Those are some healthy looking fish.

Congratulations! Cool story. It's a good thing your Mom called and you answered.

Anyone use 'slick' treatment for trailer bunk boards?
Different strokes for different folks. I'm not sure I would like slippery bunks. For me, getting the boat off the trailer is just a matter of making sure I have it backed down far enough into the water. For loading it, I just get the bunks completely wet and then pull the trailer up the ramp until approximately a couple of feet of the bunks are showing. If I hit it right, more often than not the boat slides right up into the bow roller when power loading. You have to find the sweet spot as this can vary depending on your boat and trailer models.

Montrose Lake Contours (MO)
I don't know what's up with Navionics but you aren't mistaken about how shallow it is.

PB spotted bass still wish I knew what he weighed
That explains it.

Trailer towing problem
Let us know what you find out. This is an interesting thread and I am curious.

Too late for jig fishing?
You have to wonder where some people get their information, or if they are just trying to mislead you.

Not a bad day.
Thanks for setting us straight, RW. I've been scratching my head wondering about Hootie's skills floating that boat on its edge.

PB spotted bass still wish I knew what he weighed
Nice fish! This is one of those where the pic can be very misleading for weight guessing. I would have never guessed that was a 23 inch fish and since she isn't packing a big belly she looks smaller in a pic.

Trailer towing problem
He did say that the boat and trailer were 2000 Bass Tracker Pro Team items so if it is the trailer that the boat came with I'm pretty certain the statement above is correct. It is definitely something wrong with the trailer. I hope it is an easy fix.

Trailer towing problem
I know you have already answered this so my apologies, but are you absolutely 100 percent sure you have no brakes on the trailer? With the flat spot on the tires and the behavior you described, it sounds just like trailer brakes that locked while you were driving down the road with a full head of steam causing the flat spot.

Top Squarebills
I like the KVD square bills, but I use the 2.5 size just as much as the 1.5. I would include both of those sizes.

Should I give up?
Welcome to the forums, Connor!

a couple of good Easter bass
You've caught some nice hefty fish there!

What Do You Count as Your PB?
For me personal best is just that, no matter where it occurs. I do have an idea of the largest fish that I have caught at different bodies of water as I use that, and the general numbers of big fish at those lakes, to determine where I want to fish.

I know you guys hate these threads, but you gotta take a look at this one!
That's a heck of a fish. I was first thinking 9 to 9.5 but you never know. She could be 10. I've been in those shoes without a scale. Always carry a scale even if you have to shove it down your pants.
