  1. Really, you thought it was choppy? It is or was not as graphically nice as MW2. I had MW2, but once I was able to understand BFBC2 (demo), I sold MW2 back to Gamestop.
  2. Hahah, I guess I left that minor detail out. The clear lines, I have been using are monos that were "illumnating". Of course the Yo-Zuri is a hybrid, while the Suffix Siege is mono again.
  3. Hey, I wanted to know if anyone is picking this one up on XBOX 360? If you are and want some players, let me know and I'll give you my Gamertag.
  4. Hey everyone, I got a question here, it might be meaningless or not. But, I have always wondered about different fishing line colors. I use to use "clear," a lot when I fish started fishing, but started to notice every once in awhile the sunlight would refract through it, and basically illuminate it like a neon light. So, I started to use "green-tinted," lines for example the Yo-Zuri hybrid green or Suffix Siege Camo mono-lines, if anything to make my fishing line a little harder to reflect the sunlight. I have also seen some lines come in a "smoke grey," and even red (Cajun Red fishing line, I think it is). I guess a good analogy is gloss paint vs. a flat-paint job on a car. Do you guys understand what I am getting at? If so, and you have any good articles about light refraction in different color fishing lines please post them here, very curious to read about them. Or, opinions let me hear them. Thanks
  5. Hey, great question I was going to post about the same thing. I have a Field and Stream around my house that talks about the strongest knots within each different class of knots. I know that might not make sense, but I do remeber them mentioning a Rapala knot is the strongest of "free-swimming," baits and I use that type of knot for crankbaits, lipless cranks, basically anything that has a "swimming," action to it. I am going to try and find that issue of Field and Stream to clarify in another post to this thread.
  6. Curado! This is turning into one of those old Miller Lite Commericals. "tastes great, less filling, Shimano Curado, Pfluger Patriach" Hahahah
  7. Hey guys, I took my Premire (I got from Gander Mtn. for $129) to Wayne Knabe (great fishing reel repairman) out in Powahatan, VA for him to look it over. He said there was no oil/grease on the bearings of these reels. I was not surprised considering this is at least a year old reel. But, for all of you that picked up these reels, I would take them apart and grease/oil them before up coming season. My two cents.
  8. island, yeah, when I put a lure into a tree tracing the line out of the branches is a little tougher with the camo line.hahah Nice display of fishing lure porn Midnight! I love me some Rapala DTs!
  9. I have one now, but this is my first Revo reel. How good is the casting controls on this thing? I have a Curado, which has the best casting control I have ever used so, kind of curious what to expect out of the Abu.
  10. Yeah, I agree nothing to really pull me into the BPS Spring Classic either. Not enough deals on lures I want to try out, not willing to pay Lucky Craft $$.
  11. yeah, what island said. (UGh, no I gotta go upstatirs and see which one I really use.) ....................... I got the Suffix Siege Elite, camo, ooohhh!! I most have been feeling good that day to treat myself to camo line.
  12. That is right Sam! Gotta love some college baseball VT's team is always terrible, but love watching the CWS!
  13. That is pretty good! Trying to get that out of my head so, I dont refer to him as "KV Darn" that when I am talking to someone.
  14. Too funny, but very true!
  15. AMEN!! Drank that a ton when I was in engineering school! Also, I love Paulaner Hefe-Wiezen, puts Blue Moon to shame, and I like me some blue moon to.
  16. I only use Suffix Mono lines Elite & Seige. Really good lines with a good amount of flex and strentgh.
  17. NICE!! Well, I guess that saves my $$ and wondering if I catch anything with 'em.
  18. One more thing, learn the Rapala knot for crankbait fishing (if you do not already know it) I think it really frees up a crankbait for better swimming action.
  19. I second Midnighthrasher's opinion. I never did well with crankbaits until I got Rapala's DT series. Then, I was catching bass left and right! Also, another good crankbait is BPS XPS Nitro crankbaits. They have done very well for me!
  20. I change lines as needed, when my spool gets low. But, one thing I do is keep lures on my rods/reels to keep a little tension in the fishing line. That way next spring when I go to use it, the line does not have as much memory in the 10' near the lure.
  21. I definitly agree with the Yo-Zuri Ratln-Vibe, great lure!
  22. The bass you see me hanging in my profile pic was caught on a 1/2oz. Spook using technique I mentioned above. Herdon Bill Dance Zara Spook, she was almost 5 lb.
  23. I love the Zara Spooks, 1/2 oz. in 3-1/4" size I think. Try giving the lure, good hard, short pops with the rod tip. Let it sit for a 3 seconds, repeat. Also, try small hard jerks with the rod tip. If done correctly, the spook with stay in about the same place with ripples coming out from it. But, the key to working Spooks is use the rod tip for the action, and reel for retrieving acess line. Good Luck, and HOLD ON!!
  24. Yep, I got the last one at my Gander Mtn. Awesome reel, incredible deal. Cant wait to get her out on the water.
  25. Put some Zoom Flukes in there, very versatile and produce a ton of bass! Good luck with filling your tackle box.
