  1. Thanks!!!! Only 7 more years till I get my bass boat.
  2. Yeah, I also don't like where the hook keeper is located. Anyway, I finally get around to posting a picture of it:
  3. Here is my new Nautic Star bay boat: I just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it. Sorry if it seems like I am bragging (I am just excited about it!!!!!!)
  4. Outing # 1 for me as well to my grandma's pond. 1. Weightless Zoom Tickworm in Bruised Banana color 2. Wacky rigged Senko in clear/gold/black flake I was using a 6'6" medium heavy spinning rod with 10# Berkeley Trilene line. The hook for number 1 was a Owner offset shank 3/0 hook. The hook for number 2 was 1/0 EWG Gamakatsu.
  5. To answer your question Low Budget Hooker I always have one tied on. You are probably right, I am just running it to fast. I will read up on how to fish these and the blade choices.
  6. Go with what Fishing Priate said for your Football and Swim Jigs.
  7. That is a awesome fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. The only reason I use rattles is because they help my confidence. It makes me feel that I am doing the most I can to get a fish to bite.
  9. Spinnerbaits SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet I have only caught 5 fish on them my whole life. I have no confidence in them what so ever.
  10. Today, I was fishing in Shearon Harris lake in NC and I was flipping A LOT. I didn't even get a bite. Do you guys have any tips of what I was doing wrong? The moss is also really bad at this lake, which also collects on my bait I flip into cover. I was using a black/blue/purple Revenge Flip jig with a Bass Snacks black/blue Pinchit! jig trailer.
  11. I will have to try that, because I have never fished there before. I fished Shearon Harris today and got skunked but maybe I will go to Falls lake sometime. I will let you know how I do.
  12. I think only thing I have gotten at Bass Pro Shops is the glass beads for c-riggin. For some reason I am hesitant to pull the trigger on anything else because I don't like to use their stuff or Cabela's stuff because I believe their is something better.
  13. You aren't just telling me this so I can have one fish and everybody else has got 20 are you? (JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!) Thanks for the help man! That really helped me out a lot.
  14. Are you talking about casting jigs, football jigs or are you talking about flipping jigs?
  15. So you can only submit one fish?
  16. Overpopulation can cause "Small Bass Syndrome". It is not actually called this but it is what I call it. "Small Bass Syndrome" is when there is so many bass that there isn't enough food left to let all the small ones grow bigger. For the source it would be: "I have just been on this site so much I became aware of it". Also this is a very real and very common problem in many lakes and ponds across the world.
  17. Texas-rigged Zoom Junebug Trickworm. You can fish the whole water column with this bait .
  18. That is a good article, thanks for posting it.
  19. I am sticking with the original. Sebile Magic Swimmer.
  20. aarogb replied to lv2fish's topic in Fishing Tackle
I really like the Rage Tail chunks and Rage Tail toads. I also have used the Rage Tail shads, but I like the toads better for topwater. The chunks will give GREAT action to your jig and are just about the right size for any type of jig. Haven't tried anything else yet, but I plan on it soon. The only bad thing about the Rage Tail products is that they seem a bit pricey, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
  21. I am going to drop the bomb and add a new one to the mix: MIKE McCLELLAND. The guy just seems real nice to be around.
  22. They really look like they will, I could be mistaken but they look and feel really strong and secure.
  23. Definitly get plenty of DT's. I also I would really stock up on some DT 3's in Firetiger color, they are very verstitle and if you want them to go shallower just reel slower.
  24. Yes it makes perfect sense. For some reason northern bass take so long to grow it is crazy, I am glad I live in North Carolina!!!!!!!!!!! I would still take a 5 pounder no matter if it is in Maine or Florida.
  25. Two words. CARROT STIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
