Tennessee trout fishing laws
I guess im putting this in the right section of the forums. But I had a question for anyone that lives or is familiar with the laws of tennessee trout fishing. I read on a website the following: "Prohibited baits include, but are not limited to, minnows (live or otherwise preserved), worms, corn, cheese, bread, salmon eggs, pork rinds, Power Bait, liquid scents and natural baits found along streams." Is this true for the state of Tennessee or the particular area that the website is talking about? I couldn't find anything else about this but i dont wanna get down there and get in trouble for fishing with illegal lures or baits. Thanks.

Bass Tracker Pro 16
Bass Pro has a Bass Tracker Pro 16 foot boat for 8,000 and you get a free $1,000 gift card with it. I was considering this boat but i wanted to see if anyone had any pros and cons about this boat. It comes with a Mercury 25 hp motor, Lowrance fishfinder, MK trolling motor (not sure on lbs of thrust) and of course, the trailer. Thanks for your opinions

Goldfish?
At a few bait shops around me, they give out "gold fish" I dont think these are the same as fish that are in peoples fish tanks though. If you ask for a couple dozen minnows, there usually is a few that are gold or orange looking. I dont know if this is the same with other bait shops.

Buzzbaits
In what situations do you normally use these lures?
-
Buzzbaits
I picked up a black Booyah buzz bait, would you say my best bet would be to get trailer hooks instead of a soft bait? Since I just started to use buzzbaits, in what situations would you use these?

Need help loading my tackle box
I plan on heading to Bass Pro or any other tackle shops around to get some new bass fishin gear for this spring and summer. So far my box has the following: Soft Baits: brown skirted grubs, double and single tail grubs in various colors, minnow swimbaits, lizards, watermelon and shad tiki sticks, bubblegum flukes, watermelon seed Big Critter Craws as trailers for my jigs, watermelon Flappin' Hogs, loads of worms in many colors. Hard Baits and others green and white spinners, red/white jig, blue/black jig, green/yellow jig, crankbaits that dive from 5' to 15', Rebel Pop-R, black/purple/yellow and white jerkbaits, broke-back minnows. I will be fishing in lakes and large ponds out of my boat, any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks everyone for all their opinions and after givin it some thought, I think im gonna get a round bait caster instead of a low profile. Would you pick the round over the LP when you are first learning to use a bait caster? Or should i get a LP reel?

Baitcaster
I was thinking about gettin a baitcaster reel since im starting to use more crank baits and other lures, but i have never used one and I know you can get your self into trouble with backlashes. I was looking for a decent reel for about $50, I know thats not gonna get me a top of the line reel but I dont do enough fishin to spend a whole lot on one. Would you recommend gettin a baitcaster? Is it worth it? or should i just stick with my spinning reel?
