Kayaking the California Delta.
Fish are in all stages of the spawn right now. My buddy went out maybe a week ago and pulled a 6.5 and 4.5. The 4.5 was a spawned out female. FWIW he was in a boat and launched out of Russos

Hobie Trailer
I had a buddy by a trailer from Harbor Freight and then customized it to hold 2 kayaks. Definitely not as cool as the Yakima one but can be done for 1/4 of the price

Maybe try Lake Piru since it has the Northern Strain largemouth?

Shimano Curado 300 vs. Daiwa Lexa WN300
Have you held a Daiwa Lexa WN300? My buddy has one and I don’t like the knobs on the reel. I have not tried the Curado 300 so can’t comment but do have a Tranx and those are great reels

Advice On Bank Fishing Lakes In Central CA?
I’ve seen people fishing from the shore before at Camamche near the north launch area before and catching trout. Another spot which I’ve seen a ton of people fishing from shore has been Amador. I’ve also fished out of Melones Glory Hole area before from the shore when I’ve been up there camping and doing pretty good on catching some small spots. For the Delta, literally look for roads that run parallel to the water and explore.

Sacramento and Clear Lake questions
Where will you be staying in Sac? This will determine on options to fish.

How do I catch fish in Arizona
It’s been 12 years since I was out in Tempe for grad school, be careful what lakes you fish as you will need an additional stamp to fish in lakes that receive trout. Not sure if its worth it for a non-resident license if you are only there for 10 days

Anyone still venturing into the Delta?
If you are out of a kayak, another place to look at is Discovery Bay. If I recall it’s $5 to launch a kayak and if the winds blowing hard you can find a lot protected areas. I launched once from Mossdale in Manteca and it sucked...so I haven’t been back.

Anyone still venturing into the Delta?
I’ve been out but really hitting the stripers the last few times out. Been out of Russo’s as well as Orwood and both have had a decent striper bite...not sure what you are targeting

The Lucky Craft RC cranks
I had a bunch of them and ended up selling them. I fished them along with some of the newer 1.5’s and didn’t see a difference in my catch rate. So when the price was crazy I sold them. I agree I don’t think they are worth the money now people are wanting. Also the quality of other manufacturers have increased tremendously and have caught up or even surpassed LC which was not the case when the original LC RC 1.5s came out

Plastics storage/organization
I leave them in the original bag and use these... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Flambeau_4510FB_Terminal_Tackle_File_with_Zerust/descpage-FL4510F.html Maybe 6-7 years ago Tacklewarehouse had them on clearance for just over $8 each. I bought 6 to hit the $50 for free shipping....they arrived in a huge box...I keep 3 in the boat (have held up well) and still have 3 that are brand new for when they break. They also include these smaller boxes which are useless and my kids play with those.

Do you use google Earth to search the Delta? Kayak fishing.
You are dead on that if you look via Google maps or even drive by spots...they all look like they hold fish. As you actually start trying spots, you find this is not the case. When you go with your buddy in a boat, try and observe the details on the spots you are hitting...I'm sure you guys fish a lot of the same spots as they hold fish. If you try and observe some of the subtle changes you can see why they may hold fish and a spot 50 yards away won't. The one thing I found out about the Delta is you need to check the area out physically to see if it actually looks as good as it appears on the maps. Take an area on the Delta that's big like Frank Tract. It gets a lot of pressure and looks very good, I've spent some time fishing Franks and have a handful of spots which consistently produce fish while a majority of it doesn't. The first few years I fished the Delta, I fished a ton of areas. I have the advantage of a boat so could cover a lot of water exploring. I look at my map now and I have 100's of spots marked and rotate around based on the weather/tide/time. I still try and cover new water but a lot less now.

Spotted Bass Fishing
Nice fish. We’ve had a few good days up there with the wife and kids just killing them on a Carolina or split shot rig...all under 2lbs but non stop

Cheaper alternatives to Megabass jerkbaits
I prefer to throw MB 110's but when I get into a population of Stripers, I switch out my bait to a Luck E Strike RC Styx. I have bunch of the early production ones of the RC Styx and outside of changing the hooks they work pretty close to the 110's. I have heard the newer production ones aren't as durable, but I don't have experience with them. I find it easier to have a $8 bait get destroyed by a bunch of stripers over my 110's.

Swimbait Storage Help
I use the deeper Plano 3700 as well. Hudds just go in and make sure the tails not bent...they hold up fine. Don’t over think it

New Melones (CA) in the Fall?
I didn't go last year during this time but the year before I was up there around that time. We located fish in about 30 ft of water on either flats or off some of the larger points. Drop shotting was the bait of choice and it was a pretty consistent bite on the spots with a few largies thrown in. I think out best 5 was maybe 12 lbs, so we definitely didn't find anything huge.

Careers In The Bass Fishing Industry
FWIW, I know a couple people in the fishing industry. One works for Shimano and the other works for Daiwa. Both aren’t fisherman or have a fishing background. They just live in SoCal where they have their offices and happen to have the skills needed for the jobs. So it really depends what part of the industry you want to get in

Fishing Glasses?
Check out Shady Rays online. I recently bought a pair of glasses for my wife and found a 50% coupon searching online. They are polarized and I think the cost was less than 30 shipped. Just looked and the code that I used was “LDW”. Not sure if it still works

Square Bill Crank Baits In Clear Water ?
Yup I love throwing square bills. In clear water I prefer a Aurora Black or Ghost Minnow

Is Sexy shad the best all around crank color?
I think like most colors, its a regional play into the top colors. Out here in California, I don't own 1 bait in the sexy shad color. I've tried them in the past and haven't found them that productive. I have been successful at times with a shad pattern so maybe the bass I catch don't prefer a sexy shad and like a more generic shad?

Carp in the shallows.
I've fished around a few larger schools of spooky carp and haven't had much luck catching bass when the carp take off. I remember a few times in Arizona a friend and I would find a large school of carp and toss a kernel of corn on 4lb test and get one heck of a fight landing them.

Fishing Clearlake from shore
Your best bet is Clear Lake State Park. As mentioned in the link, you can park there and fish a couple of the sloughs though the entire area gets a lot of pressure. Be prepared to do some bushwacking if you are trying to fish the sloughs. I've also seen some people fishing just South of the swim beach in the park as well. I've also seen some people fishing from the shore around Riviera Marina, though no clue if its legal or not. Also have seen people fishing around RedBud Park, Highland Park, and Austin Park. No clue if they have caught anything, just these are places I remember seeing people from shore when in the boat. I'd imagine just drive around the lake and stop at any spot you can get lake access will be fine.
