I usually keep CoCoa Butter with me when i go fishing to keep my hands moist (j/k)...I never wet my hands (intintionaly) but I guess when i reach in the water for a fish my hand does get wet... I agreee with some of the fishing shows....just a coupld of guys fishing not talking about any technique or pattern that is usefull...but...I'll watch "InFisherman", "Linder's Angleing Edge", and "City Limits Fishing" Cause Mike Iaconelli is just And yeah, I'm guilty of bad liping a fish (in my avitar) :-/

I usually use the uni know for everything, but I might start trying that eye-crosser, it looks easy and that it will keep a high percentage of the line strength

they're still around on...even on some of the high end rods...it all depends on the model the you are getting...you usually see them on the shorter rods (6' or less)

I feel you on this on Raul...I've been like this for a couple of days now too...I know I want to buy something but I just don't know what...I'll go looking for some new jig heads and come out with either nothing or some soft plastics that were on sale...but hey, the Bait Monkey is here to help out (didn't know he was on BR ) (We're all in trouble know :-[)

GM has St Croix's on sale right now...but he's talking about the Lighting shock rods, not the original Berkley lightning rods

The Berkley Lighting Shock Rod/Amp aren't sold at either Wal-Mart or K-Mart (at least not up here) Only Dicks and Herb Philipson's.

I have 2xLighting Shock Rods, a Med 7' Spinning and MH 6.5' BC. I actually like using them more than my Loomis (somone's gonna call me on that one). They are almost as light and just as sensitive and do have some nice back bone to them. No problem pulling a 2lb smallie out of some white water rapids. The amplified tip is said to slow the action and make them good cranking rods but IMO they are both fast action (with the spinning I would say is more moderate to fast). Not a bad buy at all, and the I've had no problems with the reel seats either. The 6.5' is pretty well balanced with a Quantum Code Red on it.

Hey Shad, are you talking about "sliding weight" :-? the weight secures to the tail, and the hook is ran thru the craw tube towards the weight (or tail of the craw) so when you pull or jig the craw it makes the tail go underneath like it's really swimming away and the at rest it lays flat with the claws up?

I think that "Bassin_Fin@tic" got it right. When I was in Iraq there was this one open area that everyone doing any type of construction would take dirt from and when they dug far enough they hit and aquafur and it was some of the cleanist water around, with in months birds from all over were in there (and that was in the span of 3 to 4 months)...good luck with it...
