  1. Do you seriously think KVD deserved to win AOY over Skeet this year? Last year can be debated but this year? Not.
  2. I wouldn't say KVD is his kryptonite, I would say it's the Elite Series Officials. They're the ones that invented the post season format, and chose the locations, that has resulted in Skeet's losses.
  3. The premise of this thread is that he's not very versatile. That he is very good with cranking, and makes that work for him, but he appears to limit himself to just that technique. As I understand the debate, to be versatile you have to use all of the techniques and it appears that is not the case with Kevin.
  4. Only the 1/2 oz buzzbaits work during the Fall.
  5. Did you switch to Fluoro and start catching them?
  6. Mend-It does exactly that but chemically. It's why it works so well.
  7. I have fished many high-pressure systems that were both plenty-windy and had intermittent cloud cover and the bite was off big-time. It reinforced the old adage "Wind from the east, fishing is the least."

  10. You have to take the cap off. That comment is as worthless as Mend It. Even if Mend it were worthless, which it is not, that comment had immense hilarity value. Try not to take things so seriously, instead join in the fray and shoot back something equally humorous. It's all good natured fun around here.
  11. x2. I also find it easier/faster to tie than the uni to uni.
  12. The carbonlite has a smaller profile and is a lighter reel. That would suit those who prefer smaller. The JM is probably more higher-end, but it's bigger and a little heavier so the choice becomes user preference.
  13. I'm a little bored this evening.
  14. You may want to consider the Curado 50 instead and save 1/3 to 1/2 of that bank.
  15. Remember Bobby's new plastics thread and subsequent decade long wait until they were available? Assuredly that will feel like a rush job compared to when we actually see the 1/2 oz BB.
  16. Should work. Most use the Palomar but give it a shot. What's important is after you run the tag end through and you pull the line tight (above and below the hook), that the hook sticks out horizontally. That's what you are aiming for.
  17. Pros - solid and smooth Cons - on the heavy side and above average in size Potential Con - mods (i.e. not sure if you can get better bearings or Smooth Drag washers for the JM line) Those with bigger hands may prefer the larger size from a palming perspective, so not necessarily a con. Agree with the above on waiting for sales strategy.
  18. Catt sprained his wrist typing his fish catch/size/count list; he said I could try out the buzzbait in the interim. (Can someone spray a little WD40 on Bobby's caps-lock key? It seems to stick a lot)
  19. You covered it very thoroughly; American Legacy should have taken notes.
  20. <----#2 Alberto fan. I used it for mono to mono and fluoro to fluoro when adding line to backing, with no problems. Best...knot...evvva......
  21. Apparently going from unlimited to once doesn't qualify as a change? This will do wonders for building trust with the consumer. I trust G-Loomis rods, even without the expediter service. But this is where people get things all ****** up. The expediter service is NOT a warranty. It is a no questions asked service. If your rod breaks from a manufacturers defect then it will be covered under the WARRANTY, NOT the EXPEDITER SERVICE. Apparently my point was too subtle for you. Read the article again - it is American Fishing Legacy who, in their attempt to clear up the misinformation, provide misinformation by not only linking the Expeditor under the Warranty changes but not providing the full extent of the Expeditor changes. I am not the one who linked the Expeditor with the "no Warranty changes but" comment, that was American Fishing. Reading comprehension is your friend.
