I wouldn't say KVD is his kryptonite, I would say it's the Elite Series Officials. They're the ones that invented the post season format, and chose the locations, that has resulted in Skeet's losses.

The premise of this thread is that he's not very versatile. That he is very good with cranking, and makes that work for him, but he appears to limit himself to just that technique. As I understand the debate, to be versatile you have to use all of the techniques and it appears that is not the case with Kevin.

You have to take the cap off. That comment is as worthless as Mend It. Even if Mend it were worthless, which it is not, that comment had immense hilarity value. The carbonlite has a smaller profile and is a lighter reel. That would suit those who prefer smaller. The JM is probably more higher-end, but it's bigger and a little heavier so the choice becomes user preference.
