I have a decent 5.1 reel and a decent 6.4 but with a little extra money to spend I was looking for a good new reel. I was wondering how much use a 7.0 would get and its applications? Or should I buy a good 6.4 and use it over my old reel? I dont have a reel geared higher than 6.4 and was wondering what I would gain if I had one? Thanks

Just picked one up on ebay for $32 new. Goin to throw it into my tournament arsenal as a backup/all around reel so we'll see how it works out. Cant beat the price and cant go wrong with abus.

Alright guys. Im wondering about what y'all use to cover all techniques in 3 set ups. Not looking for brands I just want to know 3 setups (rod size/action and reel ratio) that all you baitcastin guys use. I have 2 good baitcasters in the 6.4 range and am lookin at buyin one in the 5.0 range. What size and action rods should I pair these with and what methods and techniques suite each ones? Thanks

Hey guys... Im in the process of updatin my gear and im looking for two new rods. Im not lookin to spend $200 a rod just something durable that feels good that I can count on during tournaments. I really like the airrus co matrix, does anyone have experience with these rods? Also, once I decide on a brand, what would be the best length and action to get? One rod will be paired with an ambassadeur revo sx with a 7.1:1 that will be a lot of crankin crainkbaits and one will be with an ambassadeur revo s with a 6.4:1 ration that will be more of an all purpose rod. Sorry for all the questions, Im just one of those guys that grew up pond fishin with ugly sticks. This whole tournament scene is rather new to me. Thanks!
