"finesse worms"
Finesse: skillful handling of a situation: adroit maneuvering Adroit: having or showing skill, cleverness, or resourcefulness in handling situations It's not about the lure size but how you fish it

The tale of 3 ponds, help me understand BIG fish!
The amount of variables could be so numerous from what is the age of the bass in each pond, amount of bait available in each pond, available of cover in each pond & on & on & on; short of being a marine biologist one could only guess.

- How do YOU deal with EXTREMELY LOW WATER?
Way to represent- crawdad t-rig
I use Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws Texas Rigged and work them like a Texas Rigged worm; they work great during the winter and at night during summer.- Small deisel inboard-resourcing help needed
Russ have a look at Yanmar they give line drawings and auto cad drawings- Small deisel inboard-resourcing help needed
Dude I was looking around on line and went to Yanmar Diesel, I never knew they had a diesel outboard. Every thing they make is to large for your boat but I aint done yet- finaly rain..what are the bass doing
Nope bass don't mind getting wet at all- Are you ready for some football?
Well LSU won but I sure was ticked, their new offensive coordinator almost blew it by trying to sit on a lead against Steve Spurrier. They should have benched Flynn in the second half because he couldn't throw deep and with Perrilloux on the side line why not.- Shimano Citica or Cardiff????
My jig setup is a Cardiff CDF100A on a Daiwa TD-V701MHRB First I like round reels over low profiles because of the way they fit my hands. Second I've caught numerous bass to 10 pounds along with dozens of big bull red fish and have yet to experience a single problem. Many people prefer higher speed gear ratios but I prefer lower gear ratios for more power and at 5.8:1 I get plenty of power plus just enough speed. I set all my brakes on the Cardiff and my Calcutta's once and never change them again- I got
Grandkids it's like renting them when you get tired of em you just take em back- Bass boat operating costs (?)
Both Nitro & Tracker are excellent boats but both have the same problem they are tremendously under powered. Take the 750 Nitro it is rated for a maximum of 135 hp, the largest outboard you can get from Nitro is a 90 hp, that's 45 hp under rated which is ½ of the 90 hp.; At least with the Tracker you can get max hp.- Personal Best stories?
February 3rd 2007 was a nasty cold morning with Northwest winds at 15-20 mph, a slight misty rain falling, and temperatures in the middle 30's. After having launched out of Jack's 944 Marina I made the short (2 minutes) run to the mouth of Bull creek trying to stay out of the wind and some what warm. Having rounded the corner I dropped the trolling motor, picked up my Rat-L-Trap rod again with the thought in mind of keeping moving and staying warm. My third cast was into the mouth a cut leading to a boat shed which I knew had stumps on the west side, after turning the handle 4 or 5 time my trap stopped solid, I tell Pat d**n to close to the stumps so I push the trolling motor handle towards the mouth of the cut while stepping on the switch. At the exact same instance my line starts zinging towards deeper water rod all bowed up & drag slipping; I immediately scream at Pat get the net. By now the boat is moving off to my left the bass is moving off to my right and I'm nearly on my knees in front of the console with the upper third of the rod in the water. Pat net in hand is now on the front deck killed the trolling motor and with a swift motion netted the hawg; which ends up weighing in at 12 pounds 8 ounces. Needless to say I was rather warm for the rest of the day; pictures around here some where- I got
ET is here, after almost 24 hours welcome Evan Trace Savant- Whats with me, I never get the big bite!!

WRB that some interesting information but please explain why my #1 pattern for winter bass (quality & quantity) on Toledo Bend is as follows: Early in morning before the sun clears the tree tops Shallow water 8' or less Surface temp 42 degrees Main lake points with no deep water nearby Bait: Rat-L-Trap- Confusing article.
Structure by definition is anything that is permanent and covered by water including the bottom from shoreline to shoreline. Isolated structure is structure elements that are part of the main structure; like a rock pile on the bank, point, hump, island, creek or river channel, rip rap, wing dams etc. Trees, weed beds, floating docks, etc, are generally considered cover. During the fall the bass migrate along the bank, over and around points, along creek and river channels, around and over humps and islands, anywhere were baitfish or other prey is available. Schools of bass will attack schools of bait fish in open deep water away form any cover or structure or near cover and structure. Bigger bass prefer the bait fish to be trapped between the structure and surface of the water. WRB- Jig Rod and Reel Setup?
