I've been with for Academy Sports & Outdoors far 9 months, I will open all boxes for the customer to examine the product far any form of damage; I also teach all new associates do the same. I'm of the same mind set even when fishing out of a boat; rarely do I not fish a bait all the way back. When you're target fishing the bass are not always holding exactly on the target, they might be within a certain radius of said target, some times they will simply follow your bait.

A Gene Larew 7.5 inch ringworm is always good on Caddo. Most any size worm between 6 to 12 inch on a curl or ribbon tailed will do. A 7 or 8 inch is a safe bet in colors of red shad, junebug, grape, and plum. You will want to throw these around the single cypress trees in 3-7 ft. of water. Next, a soft jerkbait (Fluke) in colors of rainbow trout, albino shad, or red shad will work around the same type trees as mentioned with the worms. Don't use any weight on these and concentrate more on the trees that have an abundance of grass around them. Buzzbaits are working well right now also. White or black colors will do the trick here. Throw these around the lily pads and hyacinths.
