Last year Toledo Bend was 15-18' low; the bass on the lake were holding in 15' of water before the low water period they were still holding in 15' of water the only changed is the shore line.

Bass Tournaments???
A study done by Hobson Bryan, Ph.D. at The University of Alabama on a Bass Federation tournament in March 2000 on Lake Tuscaloosa indicated that contestants averaged four practice visits to the lake before the week of the tournament. The average expenditure per contestant was approximately $1,100. With over 300 anglers, the direct economic impact was $330,000. A multiplier of three (i.e., the average number of times this money will circulate through the local economy) accounted for an economic impact of over $1 million. He also stated that "the value to communities of such events in the terms of publicity and repeat visitation is equal to roughly half the immediate economic impacts."

Small size 12vdc deep cycle battery needed.
Motor cycle or ATV batteries are cranking batteries and will not hold up under consistent draining of a trolling motor. Stowaway makes a smaller (dimension) deep cycle battery for $44.95.

Night Fishing Questions
The eyes of a bass go through a night adaptation cycle beginning at twilight and are usually adapted for black, white, and all shades of gray within an hour after darkness. Bass can see color but not at night, color it's self is meaningless at night. Bass cannot see details at night, so don't waste time with meticulously painted or patterned lures. Contrast is more important by far than color at night. If you fish water where shad or minnows are the predominate prey species, then try white spinners with a white grub. The usual night time favorite black is the second choice in shad populated lakes. Black or dark hued lures give maximum contrast at night when run on or near the surface. Under water vision for the bass is reduced at night, so use lures that are a little larger. Slow retrieves work better because it lets the bass locate the lure easier and zero in on it. There is no reason why the night time bite can't last all night but just like during daylight there will be periods of high/low activity. According to my records some of my best night bites have occurred as follows. An hour and a half prior & after the raising of the moon on the horizon An hour and a half prior the moon reaching its apex (moon directly over head) An hour and a half prior & after to the setting of the moon on the horizon An hour and a half prior to the moon reaching its perigee (moon directly underfoot)

Night Fishing Questions
Move up closer to your target and waste less time in unproductive water. Give special attention to beaches, docks, buoys, rafts, rip-rap, or night lighted areas. I fish in grass a lot and the attractant helps my plastic baits slide through easier. I use Fish Formula II or Baitmate (clear) with a ½ oz of pure anise oil added.

Are you ready for some football?
Sabans defense will always be better than his offense but we'll see what he can do with Georgia. I'll gladly give up some Senkos; BassHunter69 what color and send to where?

vertical jigging
If I understand your question is how to stop losing bass once hooked on a jigging spoon? The common mistake made with jigging spoons is not setting hook hard enough or straight up. Most spoon fishing is done at depths greater than 20' and that's a lot of line to move especially when you consider the stretch of mono. Once you've set the hook keep tight line or the bass will use the weight of the spoon to throw it. As for you observations of bass in water temperatures of 94 you must keep in mind this is surface temperatures not the actual temperature at 20-30'.

Help with day fishing.....
Shallow clear waters are best fished under low light conditions so fish at night or try days with heavy cloud cover.
-
Cloudy days
It depends on time of the year while bluebird skies are not preferred during summer they are looked forward to during winter. The only adjustments I make under clear skies is to fish tighter to cover during summer months.

I really need help. Very frustrated.
If there is no shad then what are the bass feeding on? 50 degrees at night might have been enough to move the bass so try finding deeper areas or fish during the heat of the day.
