  3. Color is one of the aspects of fishing that can not be explained and if someone says the can they are lying. The most commonly accepted theory is to match the hatch. After eating crawfish my entire life I can tell you with out a doubt that deep water crawfish are black with red spots and shallow water crawfish are various shades of brown. There are times when certain colors will out produce all others and the certain times when it just doesn't matter; why is anybodies guess.

I check at work and aint none of them got no bead If you rig it Texas isn't the hook & knot buried in the frog? If the Ribbit is upside down while retrieving it's because you reeling to fast, pause and it turn right side up.

  9. Mine aint that embarrassing I'm known by all my friends and relatives as a stickler for being extremely organized but I once drove 45 minutes to the boat launch and only upon loading everything into the boat did I realize the fact I had left my rods at home.
  10. First off the information in this thread is correct with the exception I do it overhand; secondly I don't worry too much about a little splash. The majority of the time it doesn't bother the bass but rather help it locate your bait. Y'all ever make a cast only to have a bass smack it instance it touches down? Didn't bother that bass at all
  11. When we going fishing
  12. In years I'm 56; in fishing 45+ years of every possible condition you could imagine plus a few you couldn't imagine.
  13. I have several all of which are cash sponsors; they pay entry fees, lodging, fuel cost ect
  14. Look at the cavitation plate on the motor and measure how far below/above the bottom of the boat it is.
  15. When bass are suspending at a certain depth it's because the water temperature, oxygen level, ECT suit their environmental needs. You can approach this in several of ways, one would be deep diving crank baits, another would be vertical jigging, both of which you stated didn't work. In this scenario what I do is to find deep water structure at the same depths or a little beyond that of the suspended bass. Now the comfort zone is located at the bottom of the lake instead of suspended; bass which are located on the bottom are easier to catch the suspended bass.
  16. How Y'all Are?
  17. I throw 2 colors Black-n-Blue 70% of the time & Black-n-Red the other 30%
  18. Shoot outs have always been my favorite type of tournaments; we'll get 10 or more boats $50 per boat winner take all but with one difference we fish from 7:00 pm to 9:00 am.
  19. People lighten up, does it really matter who chooses or what lake is chosen? Or does the friendships that will be made matter?
  20. Can y'all blame bass for loving em?
  21. Come on guys Toledo Bend is the bass fishing capital of the world; they got a big sign on hwy 87 that says so. It wouldn't matter if is a mud hole on the side of the road; the opportunity to meet everyone would be worth the price of admission.

The only wrong way to fish a worm is not to fish it at all, I prefer not to peg, & I use a 4/0 hook on 7 up to 10 worms.
