  1. man, seriously Larry...... your stickmarsh reports are getting a little ridiculous!!! your nailin' some great fish day after day, and for anyone who sees your reports constantly.... well quite frankly..... it hurts. not in a bad way, its totally awesome as a matter of fact, im just completely jealous. ...keep up the great work man! i love to see the fish, but its a double edged sword, if you get my drift! ....if you ever want someone new to fish with, my drive from orlando isnt too far.... ..just throwin it out there.
  2. looks amazing, and those are perfect "eatin size" good job, and good eats my man!!!
  3. nice find, thats simply amazing to say the least! .....unfortunately, the most unusual carcass i have come across was when i was in highschool. My 2 pals and i were exploring new fishing territories in the Savannas (in jensen beach FL)... when we came across a nice pond/lake..... it was man made though, as the shape of it gave away...either way, not bad fishing. near a drainage outlet we noticed something odd..... so we went in for a closer inspection... what we had originally noticed was a common blue tarp. ... but wrapped in that tarp was a dead dog... it looked like it was a large retriever or lab drowned inside, but was hard to tell... that ended our day, and we never returned to the spot. ..there truly are some deranged individuals out there
  4. ahhh, its been quite some time since my last PB and J...... me thinks a trip to the store is in order!!!!
  5. thats quite the fish there! good job.
  6. .....uh, yah....... you're definitely lucky, those swarms of hornets are no joke! good job on the bass, and even better for not paying a toll to catch them!
  7. here was my routine (before i tore my rotator cuff) day.... 1. chest 2. back (and lats) 3. shoulders and traps 4. arms (bi's and tri's) 5. legs (all, quads..calves...hams..) (i would also do forearms and abs with every workout) ...then two days rest and repeat. a full one week program... after my injury, though.... i cant lift heavy weights as i used too..... in fact, i dropped from 182 to my weight now....161-164.... now my routine is..... 2-3 days a week... all in one (close to circuit training) exercise... lighter weight........ higher reps..... more control..... (all in one day) 4 sets chest 4 sets back 4 lats 4 sets shoulders 4 sets traps 4 bi's 4 tri's 3 forerms, and one burnout on abs. if done with light weight, i can accomplish all in a little over one hour. ...its good for maintenance, but not for gaining size.
  8. you know just as well as i do.... the thrill is where its at!!! keep the lighter tackle, and have a blast with the fight.... you win some... you lose some.... but on light tackle, the wins are far more rewarding!!!
  9. just found the thread man....... i own 3 of the bps micro lites, and use them as my main setups for fresh and salt..... i have one 6'6" ML on an old stradic 2000 1 7" Ml on a saros 3000 and another 7" ML on yet another saros 3000 (inshore salt) ...all in 2 piece (im not sure if they even come in a one piece??) personally i love the rods, that is why i have purchased 3 of them.... never any problems with durability for me, in fact they hold up to great bass quite well......and some hard fighting salt species too!!! (most all of my quality bass have been hauled in on them!).... ...though, i love light tackle.... and still toss large swimbaits on these rods as well ... yet.. never a problem.. as for the reel seat.... there are 2 fasteners, one main.... and one smaller secondary one to hold the base of the reel on..... they do come loose from time to time. if your using the rod for strictly fresh water use, then do as bilgerat said..... the teflon tape will work great.... as for my saltwater setup, i just deal with it, and tighten it up every hour or so...... mainly because the tape will hold salt residue on the metal... even after rinsing, and i dont want any corrosion. just my opinion.... but i say go for it..... they're no gloomis, obviously, but well worth the price!
  10. good job guys, cant wait to see more reports from ya'll!
  11. Man, thats awesome!!!! congrats!
  12. i own many-a-bps brand baits, though they may not be anything "spectacular", they still hold their own in my fishing arsenal...... though there are many other baits that i would prefer at times..... the price is nice... cheap, and still attract fish..... not too shabby in my book, eh. (it could be worse for the price )
  13. man, thats great to hear....... enjoy, as much as you possibly can.... i know i would!
  14. ya most everyone does (the reference)....... though you know where the port st. lucie line hits because the buildings go over 4 stories (all buildings in jensen must be 4 or under..... none can be higher than the hospital by some law.... which i rather like myself, keeps it quaint!).... and stuart is just like a mile south and basically the same town! i used to do alot of fishing on the beach side and river side of huthinson island near the power plant there........ good trout waters on the river side! ...a side note, cause im thinkin' about the plant...... its wild to hear the sirens at your house for tests, kinda creepy!! (cause it is a nuclear plant) keep my informed, id love to hear more..... and likewise, if you need any info on the area.... id be glad to share it, i fished that place for years, and years!
  15. didnt notice till now, but, a nice addition i must say!
  16. i grew up in jensen, before moving to orlando for college....... what beach were the at in town (was is JB, north jensen... or something in the close area) ..cause actual jensen is very small, as im sure you know.... im actually going back in a few weeks to visit the folks, and plan on hitting some of my old spots. ...good to hear somthin's runnin' through!
  17. awesome fish bro!!! ....since you asked for a guess, id say 7 flat, ...maybe a little higher... .......................amazing catch though, no matter what the actual weight was!

    good to have ya, eh!
  19. good job on the fish! ......and hopefully your back will feel better soon.
  20. ....never been to calli man, but i suppose thats how i sound after growing up on jensen beach here in FL. its toned down over the years, but im sure that remnants will linger for eternity!!!! ;D ;D
  21. stay with the spinners and be happy, i know i am
  22. i have 2 of the saros 3000 myself....... i have one solely dedicated to the salt as well, can't say anything bad about it either....it holds up great! ive got mine spooled with suffix braid 6-20, and caught many large jacks, nice reds, and decent trout with it..... preforms like a dream... i fish mainly in the indian river right out of titusville, fl. just make sure to rinse it down well, and oil the roller bearing.. as for the 4000 size, in the saros..... its simply huge seriously, the difference in size from the 3000 to the 4000 is just ridiculous. if your staying inshore, get the 3000 IMO. if you really want a 4000 size, id try the stradic, its a much more "reasonable" size in the 4000 model, as compared to the 4000 in the saros.
  23. i tell you what, if anyone knows how to get their hands on these, let me know........... crazy looking or not, i seriously want to try that bad boy out!
  24. dude, its straight up massive .....good to see at least the one though, lately i've been slaying nothing but dinks myself.
