i used to go spear fishing (with a hawaiian sling though) usually about once a week when i was in highschool. I would go to the beach wrecks and inlets on the treasure coast here in FL.

personally, i dont care if it is actually horse meat, its still great, but in a craptastic way

"dump chicken"......... ;D ;D once when i was very young, i was fishing at the everglade's holiday park with nightcrawlers, when i "cast" (it was on a cane pole with bobber ;D) it out...... a mocking bird swopped down to catch the worm, and subsequently hooked itself in the rib cage! i was able to pull it in, and my dad unhooked the bird.

i rarely stray from the crunchy taco (or supreme version)...... on occasion, nacho's bel-grande..... i'll have to give that one a shot though.

man...... i realized that same crap at the age of 21..... i waited my whole life to hit that age (what seemed to take forever!!!), then bam! it happened........ once 22 came, i realized...... wow, there's no birthday to look forward to anymore,....... next croc of $h*! will be 30!!!! ever since the wait to the 21st bday, all time has sped up faster and faster........ and yes.........................even at my age (26) , i realize quite fully just how depressing that really is

im no cat expert myself, though i do love to catch'em (and eat'em ) and i can say this.... nice fish my man!

if its through their eye...... i think you did the best that you could, cutting the hook, and letting it back through unobstructed is likely the best option. after all, we are in the sport of hooking them........and most of us releasing them........ it will happen from time to time that we hurt them more than usual.....its just part of the game, we dont want it to happen, but it does i feel you took the best option, IMO.

UL's are def. fun, but more importantly, im just tryin' to say that..... yes..... live bait from shore will produce! good luck with it man, and definitely let me know how it goes for ya!

ya, man...... that is the only way that i have fished'm...... for the minnows, i use the microlite setup (sahara 500 on fish eagle II 5'6" ultra lite, spooled with suffix braid 2-6) shiners, i use sahara 3000 on BPS micro lite (md lite) with suffix braid 8-30... i have had great success with both minnows and shiners from shore.... i just use the lightest setup with the minnow bc i like the fight beter with the BG's and small bass that tend to hit them...... even with the shiners, though.... of course i like the micro lite rod beware with UL's though, cause this may happen with the live bait.... (thats the sahara 500 setup there...)

man, love it..........good choices... i have many others that i would have on mine, from all genre's ..... but as for yours........ i enjoy them all! (need some jethro tull, on that list ...... awesome!!)

man, where's dodgeguy..... he loves this stuff...... im sure he'll give you all the pro's of the line when he finds this thread. (and a nice pic to ) ...a lot of people here really like the stuff, and apparently it is supposed to be a very good braid. although i have never tried it...............................................im still stuck on suffix braid, and no complaints thus far.
