  1. good to have another FL local. the FL bass rock!!!!
  2. ohhh man!! now thats a sight...... imagine that running down the lakeside...
  3. nice bass, nice one indeed. good job man!
  4. i own a sahara.... i love the thing, and highly recommend it..... (ive got the 500 size though) ive heard really good things about the symetre too...... but dont own one myself.
  5. of the three, id go with the pflueger..... they make a quality reel (though the others would be just fine as well). as far as size, if your bass fishing..... id go with a 2500 or 3000 size equivalent. and i personally wouldnt put anything over 10lb test on a spinner of that size. most of my reels are spooled with suffix braid 8/30, and works great (their all spinners) though not on your list of choices, i thought id mention it anyway...as i saw it mention above as well.. the shimano sahara..... its a great reel, i own one and love it....(mine is the tiny 500 size though.. spooled with suffix braid 2/6)
  6. sirsnook, that would be great, if indeed you are correct. I plan on calling the ins. company in the next few days to find out for sure. Until then, your statement is rather relieving! the whole gps thing is rather scary.... i hadnt heard that before, maybe now i will not have my "home" coordinates set as "home", just a random destination point. and, karma is a b*#ch...... it'll come back to'em. ....looks scary, even in smilie form
  7. i normally throw white and chart. or black and white.... with the most luck between the 2. i do have some confidence in a black and chart. combo as well, though this has netted far less fish than the 2 mentioned above.
  8. make sure its the right party that was involved........ ...always the correct choice. but, sorry to hear that happened to ya. nasty story. ive actually cooled off quite a lot in just 1 day from the incident.... now im just glad its fixed and the mess is over, but still.... if i see the culprits in the future.... this will change..... but until, or if, then..... im just fine. ....im no ins. expert, so you may be correct..... and trust me, i hope that you are. but somehow i strongly believe that my rates will rise. after all, if someone rear ends your car..... that is their fault (under the law).... and your rates will still likely increase from the claim and damage covered......
  9. its now fixed and back to normal.... 250 down the drain, and surely a hike in the insurance premiums. thankful that i was able to get it done so quickly though. the guys at safelite autoglass did good work too, i might add.
  10. .......it is better that i didnt catchem' doing it, but trust me...... i still wish that i had..... im normally a pretty calm, easy going guy.. and few things get me really worked up.... but this was one of them.... oh well, whats done... is done. as for the ins. the deductible for me in this case is 250. Im going to get it fixed today actually in a few hours.... 250 isn't that bad, but my back window was perfectly fine before this crap. that 250 would have been much nicer to spend on some new fishing gear
  11. 2 on top, 2 on bottom.... ive tried the other ways, but it just feels awkward to me.
  12. the way it played out, i didnt even realize that something was wrong with my truck until i was right upon it...... which was a long enough time that they were far, far away......... in fact, you can see some stickers on my back windshield..... that is what clued me in as i got closer (i have bad vision to say the least)....... as i walked closer and closer, i realized that there was no sticker in the middle of my back windshield..... and instantly felt the blood rush to my face.....
  13. not braggin' man..... im just sayin'....... simply that...... it appears that my rod is larger than yours its ok though, im sure yours works just fine : honestly though, Muddy, i love your posts my man........ one day i hope to do some fishing with ya!!!! it would be a blast!
  14. for freshwater, i (at this point) always fish from shore.... i throw everything myself, from plastics to large swimbaits.... go with some classic jointed rapala's (they always do the trick).... shallow cranks...... baby 1 minus... baby bass cant go wrong with beetle spins (trust me, they slay'em) and only a buck a piece. a nice popper or two ....and if you start throwin the swimbaits (i regularly toss mattlures hardgills, spro bbz1's, strike kings king kong... although yet to catch a fish on this, and now the strike king sexy swimmer, along with a panther martin vivif hardhead........ invest in some strong braided line, trust me...... it will save your expensive lures from meeting the fate of a murky death.........most of the time at least!
  15. huh?? never heard that one before, guess i always figured that they would become food before that time reached.... in the same respect, shiners........
  16. man, all the pooches look great...... kinda bummed now, as i havent had one in many, many years...... a looooonnnnnggggg time ago, my basset hounds (Bullet, and Barney) were totally awesome dogs. and, daviscw, your dog looks totally chillun, right up my alley. (no disrespect to the other furry critters, they're all great lookin, just his seems like my kinda pet for some reason)
  17. i dont care who calls yellow tail jacks "crap fish" i personally love to catch them as well, those things put up epic battles, especially in larger sizes!!!
  18. for sure man, i didnt really want a nice chat with them.....just a face to face encounter, if you get my drift. for your sake, i sincerely hope that this doesnt happen to you, or anyone for that matter. seriously, what a spineless thing to do. Vincent Vega put it best, "You just dont #*&% with another man's car"
  19. you should be fine man..... wont even take more than a few casts to get used to either... most of my poles were 6'6" in the past (and some still in action).... but i have a couple now that i switched to 7 footers (these are the rigs that i use all the time basically).... and i only use spinning gear as well.... just take it out and try it, im sure you'll be happy with it...... and if not, then send it back at that point.
  20. ahhhh, that would be great...... along with a "nice and friendly conversation" i might add
  21. nice one...... the topwater bite just cant be beat IMO.
  22. nice fish!! love the coloring on it, looks real pretty.
  23. dude, thats your first bass??!!!!! man, i know your hooked now. if my first bass was a chunker like that one, i likely would have done nothing else with my life congrats on the catch, beautiful fish!
  24. nice fish man, the long distance pic is great too for some unexplainable reason........ really though, i dont know why.... but i like it..... its kinda saying "yes!!!, check this sucka out!, hey you up there.... take a picture already!"
  25. man, that feeling sucks somthin serious...... sorry for the loss pal. .... and thanx though for the black lettering, it is indeed much easier to read.
