Small ponds can definitely hold large fish from my experience. One of my favorite spots here in Orlando (i'll never tell you where it is..) is less than in acre in size and 10-13 deep max. My buddy and i have caught numerous 5 to 6 with the largest being 8.3 lb.

Bass......no...... Catfish late night at the lake outside house.......oh yeah!!

I just use spinning gear all the time. d**n baitcasters, ive got a couple but nothing ruins a good day on the water like a massive birdsnest.

Uglysticks are definitely not my first choice... in fact I only own one by accident. I use it for catfish, and in that case it doesn't really matter. For the most part i do stick to light action rods. Right now im using a BPS microlite (md lite action) on a saros 3000, could not imagine putting an ugly stick on this combo.

I have a really old stradic model 2000 (not exactly sure of the model without looking but its around 8 to 9 years old.) That was my favorite until i just got a shimano saros 3000 a few weeks ago. Haven't fully tested the saros out yet though, but it seems wonderful at this point.

When i fish fresh water i use straight braid, but in the salt i use a mono leader..... Just wondering what everyone's preference was for knots going from braid to mono for leader line? (i use 40lb suffix w/40lb mono leader in salt if that makes a difference).

I tried the daiwa tierra, it was nice but i think i had a defective one (it was smooth but when there was weight on the line ie: fish or lure it made clicking noises). I then went with a shimano saros 3000, absolutely love it by the way. Dont know your price range but the saros has my vote hands down.

Ive never been choosy about skirt color, regardless of conditions.... I must say my most proficient for buzz and spinners is chart/red and white. I have many black skirts but rarely used them, the others always work quite fine.

Agreed....if there isn't much grass and underwater debris a treble hook would seemingly work wonders, although i have never tried it. Normally i stick with the just the plain old spinner bait, and on occasion i use a trailer hook if i start to miss bites from slow reacting fish.

Thats definitely a tough one... I love fishing for redfish, but i must say i have the most fun catching large jack crevalle.

Sirsnooksalot.....I've been mainly using them wade fishing in the indian river near the titusville area. Within the week i will be making a trip out to the space coast to try my luck with them wading in mosquito lagoon.. if your interested ill let you know how it goes. Hopefully i will hook into a few more reds out there!

Anyone tried out the new version of mirrolures "mirrodine" yet? I picked up a few different colors about a week ago and have since caught 3 or 4 trout and 1 red (nothing too big though). Just wondering if anyone else has had the same response with them....

I could use some help from anyone willing.... I want to upload a pic for the left side of all my posts and cant get it to work. In the help section it says that i can either do this by using a link to a pic i have online thru photobucket or something along those lines, problem is that i dont use any sites like that. Now it also says i can upload one from my computer by hitting the browse button to find the file, this would be great for me but there is no browse button for me to click in my profile options page. Any help would be awesome!!
