  1. ONE MILLION DOLLARS! Uh no. 100 bucks regular price, usually 80 on sale.
  2. Jujy Beans please! Milk Duds and Snow Caps!
  3. I almost ordered them when I made yet another TW order last night. Ended up sticking with the normal size for now. From what I've read from Dozer, they're fantastic.
  4. Buy whatever you feel will work the best for "YOU." Opinions are like...well, you know where that saying goes.
  5. Appreciate it guys. Definitely aint cheap stuff. Will fill a baitcaster nicely. Haven't had to respool my saltwater gear for a while, that could put a dent in my pocket.
  6. You had it right. One today was probably just over six. Never pulled anything out of that lake that large before. It's been a while since the last time I caught one that large. Nice to know that there are some larger fish in there. It's the only lake in the area that doesn't have any Peacocks in it. It has a very healthy Largemouth population in it. Lots of forage for them to eat also. I wouldn't be surprised if theres larger fish in there.
  7. Wow...thats a tough one. I don't think I could really narrow it down to five. Heres a quick few off the top of my head. 1. Shawshank Redemption 2. Platoon 3. We Were Soldiers 4. Braveheart 5. Tears of the Sun
  8. Anybody know of a website that sells hollow core braids at a decent price? I need to re-spool some of my saltwater gear and I figured I may try some out on my pitching/flipping setups as well. I'm not looking for any specific brands, as long as it's not garbage I'm fine.
  9. I used to fish out of an Achilles inflatable. It's basically the exact same thing you pictured there. A suction cup mount won't work. It won't adhere securely to the surface of the boat. What you can do is mount the transducer directly to the TM head. Almost all sonar manufacturers make a bracket that will allow it to mount on the TM. Usually it's just a bracket that has a couple of slots in it to allow a large hose clamp to pass through it and over the trolling motor. The single 12v battery will be fine to power the motor and a sonar. If you've got a halfway decent battery, you'll be able to run basically all day. There are literally hundreds of different choices of sonars. Go to one of your local stores, play around with a few of them, and find one that you like. Both Humminbird and Lowrance make quality products. Eagle units are made by Lowrance. They just don't come with all the extra bells and whistles of the Lowrance branded units. Just remember, the higher the screen resolution the better.
  10. Whomever came up with the ideas as Twinkies as his vice had serious issues. "There's a box of Twinkies in that grocery store. Not just any box of Twinkies, the last box of Twinkies that anyone will enjoy in the whole universe. Believe it or not, Twinkies have an expiration date. Some day very soon, Life's little Twinkie gauge is gonna go... empty." Words to live by.
  11. I believe you're correct. I remember reading about it somewhere.
  12. Lol. It's been a while since I've caught anything 6+. The last time I did, I tossed my camera in the lake trying to take a picture. I went out and got a waterproof point and shoot after that. One of these days I really need to rig up some way to take pics while I'm on my Jon. I may take a spare 11" pedestal I've got here and see if I can stick a tripod on it somehow. It's been by far my best presentation this year on the deep retention pits up here in my area. I'm using a small Bass Magic Shaky Tail soft plastic. It mimics a small minnow perfectly. My father picked them up when he was with me at BPS one day and I just said I'm buying those. Match the hatch and all.
  13. So I watched Zombieland for the first time in it's entirety yesterday....twice. What a terrifically awful, but funny movie. Couldn't have had anybody better than Woody Harrelson to play Tallahassee. That and Emma Stone is hot. It's on Comcast On Demand for anybody interested.
  14. If you're careful, you can take a butane torch and run it over the plastic until it really starts to shine. You'll see it when it happens. Makes them a little softer, but a lot less durable.
  15. Thats not too bad. I'll probably pick up one when they get released.
  16. Watermelon Candy Brush Hog Pitched it out near a rocky outcropping. 4:30 pm
  17. Would be probably be fantastic over some of the submerged weed beds. Other than that, I could easily see that lip getting all gunked up with some of the slop we've got down here.
  18. I'll mail you some. It's quite delicious.
  19. I watched the video of these on TW's website. They look pretty cool. Definitely concerned about the durability on them. I'm also really wondering about the price.
  20. Agreed. I was reading an article on Bassmaster that said after last year he left the stage and just sat in his truck for a couple of hours with his head on the steering wheel. Can't really blame the guy.
  21. BOAT: Break Out Another Thousand
  22. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1170689666 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1264137348 ------------------------------------------- From my experience, Shimano makes a better quality product. Plus you can't beat the warranty. Abu Garcia is finally starting to put out some newer, better quality rods. The Revo series of reels have always been regarded as a very solid reel. Well priced and very easy to use. So who knows what they may come out with soon. Thats gotta be the first time I've heard somebody say the Citica "sucks" though. I don't use one, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.
  23. Direct answer: Yes and no. If you know the body of water well, then having electronics isn't nearly as big of a help as they are on unfamiliar waters. If you're vertically dropping the lure, having electronics can really help you pinpoint fish or structure to drop on. If you're covering a broader area, using the cast and retrieve method like Matt mentioned, the electronics aren't all that important. If you've got them, use them to your advantage. If you don't understand your gear though, it doesn't matter what you've got in the boat. You need to be able to distinguish fish from rocks, or fish from weeds, etc etc.
  24. Gotta love friends that spell stuff wrong on purpose...lol I'll send you one later on tonight. My SnD perks are 3,4,5. Mose bang for the buck right there. Even better that they carry over from round to round.
  25. Went out this morning, about 7:30 to noon. Wanted to get out earlier before the bite shut down. Didn't get a lot of fish, but I did get very good size. I probably had about a 18-20 pound limit. One of those was a six and change. Drop shot caught the best fish, most of them came on a 12" worm worked up one side of an offshore hump, then back down the other. Water goes 30 foot to about six foot. It's a big pile of rocks and dirt that the dredges must have left behind. Caught absolutely nothing flipping in the pads/grass, and nothing on topwaters. I probably missed the topwater bite though because I got out late. Saw lots of fish feeding on the surface, couldn't get one of them to hit a lure to save my life.
