Hey guys, I just relocated myself from Indiana back to Lawrence, KS - Looking to get back into fishing pretty quickly. Anyone hit up Clinton Lake or any of the other locals out here for some fishing? Haven't fished this far north in the state in my life. Any pointers would be wonderful. Paul

Aye, Dark Brown with a Yellow or Cream belly. The Reticulated Python is the fault of humans. They've taken over quite a few swamp areas as people just let their giant pet snakes go, and the weather is warm enough and humid enough that they can survive and breed. Best, Paul

Water Moccasins are dark brown/black on top and light yellow or cream on their belly. Garters are about the same, but have yellow stripes and red spots down their bodies. Since you're in florida, I'd go with a Reticulated Python pattern. I had looked into this, but there aren't any real images to go off of. I think their banner photo shows good eye placement, but I'm thinking I'd like to see a bluegill pattern or a perch pattern go on it. Both of those colors are great up in my area.

I picked up some Rapalas at .50c each the other day at my walmart here. They seem to put some really nice stuff up for super cheap at my store. So my box has filled out rather nicely as I've gone along. Best, Paul

Hey guys, I was digging through the tackle box that my Dad had left me of all his stuff from being a kid, and I found this oddly shaped lure I had never seen before. After a little research, I found out it's a Lazy Ike. The hooks on it were mangled and rusted, and it was covered in muck, but after clipping the hooks off and wiping it down with some Alchohol, it looks like a fun bait, but I don't like the color. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, and I might be up for paying someone to do it for me, but I'd like to see this little guy repainted. I want to try it out. Any ideas for a screaming paintjob? Or has anyone repainted any of these and can post some examples? Best, Paul

Lucasbass25, I live about 45 minutes from the Ft. Wayne area. I don't know what kind of traveling you want to do for fishing, but there are supposed to be good fishing waters north of Warsaw. There are also some other good lakes over in that area of Kosciusko County. Both are said to have small mouth in them. Best, Paul

Take 4" of panty hose, and tie an overhand knot in one end. Then stuff it full of liver and tie the other end closed. Slide your hook through the knot and into the meat bag. Drop it onthe bottom and wait. I'd suggest fishing atleast 2 lines if it's legal there. Panty hose keeps the 'gills and small ones from pecking it to death, and the big ones will just grab it. Hey guys, The other day I sat down and looked at my hands when fishing. It appears that I've developed a strange habit of cranking with my left hand when I'm working a spinning rig, and then if I swap over to a baitcaster, I want to cast with my right arm, and then swap the rod to my left hand and crank with the right. I picked up a left handed crank baitcaster the other day in a store, and it honestly felt odd to me. Should I be looking into breaking myself of this habit, or should I just leave well enough alone? Yeah, like you're dropshotting the bobber. Suspend your bait at fish level and drink beer! Best, Paul

Pull the spring towards the widest part of the bobber with your thumb and forefinger. This should reveal a small opening in the plastic. Thread the line into this crevice, and I usually wrap the line around one full time before letting the spring go. Cast away. Best, Paul

1/8oz rooster tail. I catch Blue Gill, Crappie, and small bass on them all the time. Around here straight silver or Perch/Tiger works very well for them. Best, Paul

I couldn't afford one TBH, but I found a guy here locally that sold me his for $100. It broke like 2 weeks into the season, and I've only recently been able to repair it. Figured a new reel was in order since the replacement is brand new off the mfg line this week. Best, Paul

They're mean. They tear up anything they can get their mouths around. They lack a predator in these waters and they're an invasive species. I believe they'll hit on anything another "game fish" will. Best, Paul

Is it just me, or is this a very beautiful lure? I have it in three colors in my box and have found it to be the most killer bass bait in this area. Anyone else love this bait? Paul

I had Senkos with me, but I was dropping them at the edges, I'll have to drag them through the pads this time before dropping them on the edge. As to the jigging, should I go jig + trailer, or jig alone? And I assume a weedless jib would be best. Fish this in the same manner? Let me know, Paul
