I am all in to braid to leader. I use spinning setup for my bass fishing. The rock will cut braid easily and reason I use long leader. If im using my 7ft spinning setup I use about 10 to 12 ft leader using Alberto knot. I normally use 8 to 10lb braid and 4 to 8lb floro.

I started my account here back in 2009, But then kids happen and shipped my focus on them. I did not quit, Just stopped for a while. Then I came back fishing but this time its a saltwater fishing. Its been fun for a while (10 yrs I guess) then all of a sudden bass fishing starys calling me again. Dust off my gear and start bass foshing again late 2018. Then covid happen so off for another 2 yrs. I fish 2 times a week now and happy that this site is still growing. I learned alot on thus site when I was just a newb. And still learning. I have one vanford 2500S on my medium light rod. Really smooth and pretty light. Im actually looking for another spinning reel for my light spinning rod and thinking might get another vanford or better.

I use my 7ft medium heavy spinning rod only when throwing 6 inch senko Carolina rig and fat ika..or some 115 or 128 topwater hardbaits..

Hi guys! Im on a market searching for a medium to medium plus kinda power Spinning rod that I can use throwing 5inch senko and fat ika.. So far the shimano medium 6'8 expride is the one that im interested for. I would like to keep it under 7ft. As possible. Ihave been using my ML 6'8 daiwa steez for a while now, while its ok for senko I think its not right for 4 inch Ika.. needed a little more power I need.So besides medium expride B is there anything else that I should look up to? My budget is around $300 to $500 And im normally using 6 to 8 lb floro leader as I use braid as my main line. (Vanford 2500). Thanks guys Robert
