  1. Is there a chatterbait brand that allows you to remove the skirt easily to fish it skirtless, and then put the skirt back on later if you want to fish it with it? I know most are made with the banded collars, but I never seem to like the way the skirt looks after putting it on the second time. Thanks for your help. Tony
  2. I use a duffel type bag and separate my soft plastics into their respective categories and stuff them in their own 1 gallon freezer bags. Hard baits go into boxes, and terminal tackle go into binders. That system has worked well for me.
  3. I was thinking about having some old Bandits painted. They were bought many years ago when I first started fishing, and I picked colors I normally wouldn't fish now. Are Bagley's off limits for painting?
  4. I am thinking about having some crankbaits custom painted. Is there any particular brand of crankbait that most people use to have painted? I have a bunch of old crankbaits that I don't use anymore because of my poor choice of colors years ago and thought if they were repainted I might use them again. Thanks for your thoughts.
  5. Anybody fished this little lake just above Richmond Indiana and have some information on it? Is there any colors that work best on this lake this time of year? I'm not asking for honey holes, just some ideas on things I can try when I am up there.
  6. I am going to be heading over to Lake Hardy to fish. I was wondering if any one can give me a heads up as to what conditions to expect?
  7. I am fishing in a club tournament this weekend, and I hoping I could you get some help. The tournament is on Brookville Lake in Indiana. Here are the expected conditions: Water clarity = clear Water temperature = 65F Water level = at pool Weather = Sunny & 80 (Will be the 5th straight day of the same weather) Hatch = Shad, shad, shad, bluegill (the lake is loaded with shad) The fish are beginning to spawn, or right in the middle of it. I was thinking about starting off with a shad or bluegill colored crankbait or soft plastic (soft jerkbait) in the morning. When, not if , the bite slows I was then going to switch to shaky head / wacky rigs / flipping & pitching of the same colors with Senko type, finesse worms, or lizards. Thoughts? Tony
  8. Nice job! I was on BL this past weekend too, pre-fishing for a tourny next weekend. That storm front on Saturday morning muddied everything. We managed about 5 each, with only 1 worth much. I can only imagine Sunday being miserable after that storm front.
  9. I was on Brookville this past weekend. Managed to pull this one, but the rest were dinks. The weather forecast is looking good for the next week so the fish should get back in their groove....
  10. I use them only when I am experimenting with weight and color while searching for productive water. When in a club tournament I tie directly to the o-ring.
  11. How has Brookville been fishing lately for the LMB or SMB? I hadn't seen any posts lately on the forum so I thought I would throw out that question to you guys/gals. I am going to be up that way in a few weeks and could use all the help I could get.
