One should always have an open mind when buying fishing gear(or anything for that matter) but I know of no on who owns an okuma reel.

How did you come to the conclusion that bright colored baits scare fish ?

Sell it and buy at least a 48" wide jon.

You'll want a boat with at least a 48" wide bottom.

Take it for a test run and see for yourself. If every thing checks out OK, buy it.
